This Russian feast is well worth the money for a unique dining experience in Winnipeg. There's nothing quite like it right now.
It's terrific food (loved a lot, hated nothing) with live entertainment and dancing thrown in the mix.
When you enter at 730pm (don't arrive early, they won't let you in) the cold appetizers will already be down. You begin the feast there. After awhile the warm appetizers arrive. Expect to be eating until 10-11pm as the food is not brought out all at once.
We paid for the $75 dinner (they have different price points, $55 is the starter I believe). There were 5 of us. Normally they suggest tables of 8-10 for the best pictures/experience. They can accommodate as few as 2.
It's available only Friday and Saturday and you do need to book Ahead of time to make sure they have room. If you are lucky you might be able to do it last minute but it isn't suggested. They do fill up fast if they are having it (they need a minimum number of people to go but did not ask for a deposit). We were told the food does change. What you see in my pictures might be different then what you get. They do accomodate for any dietary restrictions, whether it be vegetarian, gluten free, vegan or whatever. Do call ahead and check to make sure you are happy with their substitutions.
The food was great, my favorite being the blintzes.
Tea, coffee and fountain pop is included. You can order additional drinks from the bar but expect to pay
Dessert is not included. However we were almost thankful for that considering the two bag full of leftovers we ended up taking home. It was a feast of epic proportions.
There is a surcharge of 10% auto gratuity on the bill. (You can tip more)
Parking is available in the large lot that they share with the hotel and Crown bar and grill. at Korona Restaurant
