By the end of the day, most people lack energy to work out or eat correctly. . We’ve all been there. . In fact, one of my online clients told me how she used to get home around 7, eat garbage food, and then pass out in front of the tv. . She always talked about how tired she was. She had zero energy to workout or cook. . That was before we started working together. At the beginning, I told her that energy is far more mental than it is physical. When you are excited about something, all of a sudden you find hidden reservoirs of energy. . Have you ever thought about how we manage to always find energy for the things we want to do? Even though we were soooo exhausted?? . We know we find ourselves energized when we’re doing something we WANT to do. . She had noticed for her, it was a combination of having coaching, seeing immediate results, and a burning desire to better herself. . With this new identity, she found herself looking forward to training. . Then it became something she wanted to do and no matter what, she found herself having the energy to workout and eat correctly. . So you have to ask yourself…is the goal really important to you? HONESTY HOUR‼️ I have not always enjoyed doing gym. When I was around 16 my mum and I had a personal trainer 2 mornings a week - I remember saying that if I don't see progress in a month I will stop (don't worry, mum won't let me forget it haha) When I think back to this, I laugh because everything takes time!!! You have to trust the process. I had an unhealthy relationship with gym as I was doing it for all the wrong reasons. Optimal, balanced health is my goal for this year. Not only that but being more organized, sticking to a budget and journaling more (hello bullet journaling). Supplementing daily with not too much just for insurance... I get most of my nutrient from the foods I eat. Anyways my routine consists of one pack of @1stphorm microfactor, CBD oil/caps and CBD vape pen micro-dosing throughout the day. I’m curious what is your daily routine like? Have you tried Microfactor or other vitamins supplements similar? I like the fact that Mircofactor doesn’t have a lot of pills (hard for me to take pills) and that it packs a lot of vitamins and minerals into it... like fish oil it’s not a lot serving wise but I don’t have to go out a buy fish oil too along with a multivitamin and greens and so forth. We’ve all heard it before and most likely you’re fed up hearing about it too! . Goals, Goals n’more Goals!! . Change it then. Let’s change the way we approach Goals. So it doesn’t remind you of work, demotivates instead of motivates, gets forgotten instead of being a daily mindset. . The simple fact that not having an aim/objective/target, whatever, is totally detrimental. WE MUST HAVE ONE. . - You've got to know where you want to go. What end result you are gunning for. - You then can follow what action is necessary to be successful in the least amount of time. . So let's say our general goal is to 'lose fat and have a shapely figure for the summer'...agreed? . Now we have a goal, write it down. Stick it on a post-it note and whack it on your lap top, next to your bathroom mirror, anywhere you'll see it often. Mine is on my phone lock screen. . IT'S YOUR ACTIONS THAT COUNT! So, once you've wrote your goal, make sure it is in your head all day, everyday. Then say to yourself each morn and night. "I don't want this look and feel I have right now, I don't like it because.....(fill in the blanks with negative reasons).......I will soon be the shape I want and I will feel amazing.....(fill in the blanks with positive reasons)...” . This written reasoning must sink into your subconscious part of your mind (memory and emotional bank) and by verbal repetition it will. BUT only by repetition. So keep saying it to yourself. . Tip Tuesday! I am a little late but better late than never! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ How to easily brighten the entire video with just one important gadget. Yes! That's a webcam. I personally use a Logitech HD 1080p and it is fabulous. As you can see .... Picture paint a thousand words 😀🌸 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ One image is without a webcam, just my normal computer camera. The lighting is the same but with a switch of camera, meaning the Logitech Webcam - Voila!! Everything brightens up! I totally suggest this webcam if you are doing a lot of video and live coz it just makes it so much brighter and you know it pretty much sucks when it isn't.. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What else do I do? I place 2 table lamp next to my computer. Yup. Nothing sophisticated although I know a Nova light helps.. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And basically I on the lights in the my office. Calf training is made out to be far more complicated than it actually is. The fact that most people don't even train them consistently with intensity or even consistently at all, is a major factor. For some reason, just because they are at the base of our bodies, we seem to neglect any sort of structure or strategy and end up confused and irritated at the lack of development. You wouldn't take this approach for your chest if it was undeveloped so why are calves mistreated? _______________________________________________________ Frequency is key when working any weak muscles. Hit them hard and often, no fluff sets, track your lifts and progressively increase stimulus whilst in a caloric surplus. We’re back in action, but let’s talk about the importance of mental health - ✍️ WHAT HAS BRYAN BEEN UP TO? - 💥 I came to a point last week as I was completing my power list for the day,courtesy of @andyfrisella, and reflecting on my critical tasks that we’re going to get me to my goals. - ✊🏾What I found is that I was not taking enough time for myself. This was hard to admit because I’ve always been a giver to others. But, when you give so much of yourself that your mental health begins to decline it’s time to take a step back. - 💥That is exactly what I did! I made it a point to 👉🏾take care of my clients 👉🏾take time to call & check on the parents& family 👉🏾prayer & reflection time 👉🏾enjoy some Favorite tv shows 👉🏾still check in with you guys on my story 👉🏾 read a good book - 🌐 But, most importantly when all my tasks were done relax and go to sleep. * * * 👌🏾 My energy & productivity has been so much better and I would hope if you’re always stressed thinking you’re not doing enough just know there is always going to be more to do!

Throwback to 2014 and one of my favourite contest memories to date. My secret sauce is teaching women how to do the exercises they thought were just for men & getting them really freakin strong at it 😏Lets be honest doesn't it feel badass when you finally nail your deadlift form?? 🙌🏽 - So once you've figured out the form how do you program your workouts to make it most effective and more importantly get stronger?! I use a DUP method & here are my top tips: ✖️ Work in 4 week cycles and include a deload week ✖️ Every session try and do a little better than the previous one by increasing weight or sets or decreasing your rest time ✖️ Have one heavy day & one light day, and focus on one rep range for each of those a full 4 weeks ✖️ Strategically use failure sets to drive progressive overload - If you're not tracking your workouts somehow I'd highly recommend doing so and you can grab my free workout tracker through the link in my bio! - I've lost a lot of strength & am now working on getting my numbers back up to my last PR of 285lbs shown here😤 Do you have any strength goals that you're working on?
