Picking favorites. Throughout our national park journey, we kept track of our favorite hikes (which we detail in our book...see below). These hikes, in our minds, were truly epic, and they encompassed the best of the park we were visiting. For example, in Yosemite NP, we fell in love with the Panorama Trail hike that gave us truly nonstop panoramic views. In Haleakala NP, it was the Sliding Sands Trail hike into the inner crater. And in Glacier NP, it was the breathtaking Highline Trail hike. When we visited Zion NP, it was hard to pick a favorite, as there are so many good hikes. I am sure many people would pick Angels Landing, as it is indeed a classic. However, if I were forced to pick a favorite in Zion, I would choose this hike, called the Subway (The Left Fork of North Creek). Why? It’s a killer hike (which can be made even better by rappelling into the canyon), that takes in one of the most impressive sights in the entire park system: the Zion Subway. It’s a bucket list hike for sure. What’s your favorite hike in the US national parks? ·
