But Oscar has another Take on the situation.
So yeah. It’s perfectly possible that this just didn’t happen... YET.
And Felix’s expression changes from cool to panic in three seconds.
Why? Because both kids are highly sensitive, they get each other, and Oscar just seems to transmit him his own panic with a reasonable doses of doubt. And because he is the one with the visions. He knows what he is talking about.
And those two kids can talk without words. Remember when at the beginning of season two they were at the press conference, and they both ‘sensed’ the presence of Alice at the door? They can feel things, although they are not always great at translating it into concrete words or actions.
My own take is that this was a great finale to carry on with season three.
Not only the development of the whole scene kind of shouts this, but I also remember reading an interview about the cast being replaced in season three. That interview said that Australian shows go on a number of troubles when trying to get funding, and it takes time, and by the time they were able to collect the money they needed, all the kids have grown up ‘too much’ to be part of a show aiming for younger audiences. So they fired them. But to calm the fans they wrote that movie that stomps on all the canon developed along the two seasons. And those two seasons were also short for American standards due to same reason: funding...
However, I think the move was wrong.
A) we, fans, also grow up. So.
B) they hired an actor that is older than three of the original boys.
C) they miscalculated the effect of a complete change of cast.
