Before I started working at a health club, I never had access to a gym🤔 . And just like that we are on week 6 of 6 of this incredible program! My body is stronger,my thoughts are stronger and me believing in myself is at an all time high. . It's funny when you look back and can see your progress and how it played out. It puts far less stress on the number on the scale and more emphasis on the number you get to write down at the end of the minute! . My team has worked extremely hard and im super excited to keep riding this wave with them. For me, I'm looking forward to switching and getting back to lifting some weights. No new enrollements or anything, just have to pick my new program from the digital library and all thats available. Whoop! Whoop! . We are NOT about to fizzle as the new year resolutions hit a wall and taper off. Time to press the pedal down and keep on rolling, we've got work to do girl. . Six weeks ago today I started working out 20 minutes a day. When I finished my first workout I was winded, sore, and was ready to throw in the towel. Instead of giving up I went on Facebook to the fitness challenge group and was completely inspired to keep going. I realized I couldn’t do this on my own and the fitness community was a huge factor in my motivation. Today, I completed Week 6, Day 1 and I am so proud of my progress. 📸Fit Armadillo founder keeping it classy in Fort Myers Beach, FL last weekend... Or at least trying to by attending the most amazing beach 🏝 yoga 🧘‍♀️ CLASS (get it 🤣😂🤣) by Becky @beachyogaftmyers Catherine was in Fort Myers mostly to visit her super sweet Grandma 👵 who spends the winter there and totally spoiled her 🥰 But she also did a little business on the side... Like FINALLY getting one of her fave personal trainers, Sheri, set up to work with YOU 🤗 (check out her schedule: FitArmadillo.com/Sheri) Sheri is amazing for many reasons (and we’ll get her bio on the website ASAP), but today I have to single her out for telling me about this class that was just a short walk from Grandma’s house and EXACTLY what my body needed after lots of beach running and before a flight back to Fit Armadillo headquarters on the other side of the country! BUT this class offered much more than a great stretch and views of dolphins 🐬 frolicking in the ocean in front of us... Becky led us through the most perfect savasana meditation that morning. It really touched me and was JUST what I needed. I’ll share more on that later (and maybe we can get Becky on @thefitfifteen 😉), but for now I wanted to invite you to find a way to make fitness fun before the long weekend (for many!) is over. 💡Try a new class in a new environment or take one with one of your friends. While I don’t have a public group class to invite you to at Fit Armadillo this week, I am finalizing our March 1st first Friday class format and time. A cloudy, chilly 49 degrees (for SoCal anyways) this morning. Killer high intensity superset of pull-ups / walking lunges / inverted rows to get my day started. Created in the 1930's by Mr. Royal H. Burpee who developed the exercise as part of his Ph.D. thesis. The yank military adopted it as a way to assess the fitness level of recruits when the US entered World War II. The test was meant to be a quick measure of agility, coordination and strength. Gotta be one of the most 'bang for your buck' exercises known to man, still to this day. If you run out of time and can't fit a longer training session in, try and crack 10 burpees every minute for 10 minutes. 💪 I'm at 208 lbs (the smallest I've ever been), I have excess skin. But Damn does it feel good to know that I have lost 77 lbs and still have a noticeable amount of muscle mass (HELL YEAH!).
