That face you make at the end of a workout when you realize you have to put everything away still, but don’t want to...... —— My pouty face didn’t work on the hubby so I still ended up cleaning up all the mess I made, but he did help a bit so maybe that counts as a win🤔🤷‍♀️ he just tells me that loading and unloading the bar and putting away the weights is all part of the workout so I just tell myself it’ll help me get stronger😂💪👊I did a bodybuilding workout to help grow the size of this baby shoulders today and then an AMRAP!!!!! Gotta add in some variety sometimes to keep the spice alive in the gym!!! On days I’m feeling down or unmotivated I do something I haven’t done in a while and enjoy it and make a note of any progress I made!!! It’s all a mental attitude!!! 🔴Deadshifting🔴 ✔️Have you ever struggled to get your luggage out of the overhead bin on an airplane? Or to drag a box out of the back of SUV? Each task demands a unique motion. With the overhead bin, you initiate that motion with the mass above you. When moving something out of the trunk of the vehicle, the mass is far from the midline of your body, putting it in an odd position to accomplish the movement. In addition to the odd postures, both tasks demand that we shift mass rather than lift it. ✔️If lifting means moving mass up or down relative to gravity, then shifting means moving a mass through gravity in all three dimensions. It’s fascinating how rarely we think about deadshifts in strength and conditioning programs. There’s almost no research exploring deadshifts, even though we perform them quite often in life and sport. Nobody said it was gonna be easy.... It’s not really supposed to be. ⠀ .⠀ To make changes to your lifestyle, to change your habits, to change your mindset about what you are CAPABLE of. But I’ll tell you what, it’s easier to make those changes now than to suffer with poor health later on. ⠀ .⠀ I see it every day in my practice. Bad hearts, bad joints, poor mental health, postural problems, chronic pain, poor body image.... All could be helped with EXERCISE and HEALTHY food and positive mindset. ❤️⠀ .⠀ Example:⠀ ⠀ My sister in law is here for dinner, the kids are all over me, dinner is on the stove, I had a bottle of wine last night 🙋🏻‍♀️🥂....
