I may not be the biggest or strongest dude in the gym but does that bother me? No. I know for me personally that when I leave the gym I put my all into that 1 1/2 hrs of training. What’s important is your work ethic and consistency each day to be better. If you simple do that and strive to be better from the day before or the week before, progress/goals will be obtained. I was worried when I moved to Florida I was going to have a hard time finding new workout partners and friends. No Flex Friday but REFLECT FRIDAY, don’t know if this is a thing or not, if not then I’ve made my own one up☺️ . This year has already been full of 🎢 with it’s ups and downs, and tbh it’s something I’ve not been used to for a very very long time! So I’ve been completely out of my comfort zone and chucked in at the deep end. But I’ve come to realise that it’s not all doom and gloom, there has been so many positives that have come out of the negatives that have happened this year. . I’ve come to surrounding myself with the right people and like minded people! I keep my circle small, I only want the positive vibes surrounding me. I’ve learnt that if people don’t want to be apart of your life, or make no effort to be apart of it...then why should you waste your time with those people? It was probably one of the best reads I have had in a long while! So i asked my staff at the office to read it. • The book talks about how important it is to identify and implement your One Thing. In today's day and age, it is so easy to get caught up and trying to do everything and anything you believe is right for you to do, but the fact of the matter is that there is really only one thing that you should really put all your attention on, Your One Thing. • We all have goals we want to achieve and challenges we want to overcome. I love being a nurse. It is one of the most rewarding professions, but it truely beats me up physically and mentally. Im tired, irritable, sore and impatient the first training day after Im done my 3 12s (in a row usually) which means I have to give even more intense focus on my training AND recovery. I feel like the hardest part about sticking to a plan is staying focused on the end goal. Being able to control yourself and not let your ego get in the way. This weeks 5x5 at 70% (205) of my 1RM went really smooth. I wanted to add weight because I know I can lift a lot more but I had to hold myself back and remember why I’m doing this.
