I STRUGGLED staying on track today.. every second of the day, all I could think about was going and getting Pancheros (basically a chipotle) 🙃🙃 BUT I stayed on track all day, ate all my meals, AND got my workout in 💦💃🏼 I told my husband today “well it’s just a hiit workout today.. so it won’t take too long”...... This is so true. When I started this journey I was so reserved about it. I didn't tell anyone in real life, Facebook was unaware. I was sneaky and didn't post any updates or recent pictures of myself. . . Then one day I accidentally posted a funny selfie, and boom! The secret was out! . . I had people asking if I had surgery or what I did, because it happened "so fast", and then the realest, most eye opening thing happened. I had people coming to me, asking for advice, thanking me for being so candid and open about my struggle. And then I was added to a few weight loss groups to talk to girls who struggle. My voice was heard and there were people wanting to listen. I started this, saying it was for me, my family, and that's it. I feared failure SO MUCH and never wanted anyone to know, in case I failed... when I never even stopped to think hey... I might help someone by just being myself, just being honest. . . Scream from the mountaintops, you are capable, you are more than a number on a scale, you were made to do more than just exist. . . Being brave again.. Something i get told ALOT like most days is "you are to small for surgery" "you don't look as big as you say" "no way you actually weigh that much" i no these are compliments and i just explain or smile but the fact is i AM THAT weight or size. To someone else that would actually be quiet offensive, i use to let it get to me but am quiet a strong girl and realise people say it with a good heart .. i have lived this way or as the bigger girl for many many years not always but many years, i like to feel good about myself as does anyone so i do all i can to hide underneath certain clothing, i am sure we all do right?? But its all there when i un dress or see myself how no one else does. My bmi is extremely high and my body gets uncomfortable. A weightloss patient will not just get handed a go ahead to get any surgery that will change our entire life and we have to prove we can change our lifes ourself wether that be loosing a certain amount off weight or attending specific apps with professionals. It is a big journey and absolutely not the easy way out! It is a tool to aid in changing our life, and i am extremely greatful to have this opportunity but knowing very well how hard it will be. I have changed in so many ways over the past few years although the weight has not changed much YET alot off me has and i am finding myself again. Loosing weight and getting surgery can not help with the other things going on in your life! MID-MONTH WEIGH-IN: 269.6 lbs I totally lost track of the days 😐. It seems like this month is just flying by, but I wanted I make sure that I still posted this here to keep myself accountable. Yesterday I weighed in at 269.6 lbs. That’s 5.2 lbs ⬇️ from the beginning of the month bringing my total loss to 62.4 lbs ⬇️ from my starting weight of 332 lbs this past November! I haven’t been 💯 with my nutrition the past couple of weeks so I’m more than pleased with this number. At least there's no diet that's a one size fits all for all of us. What works for you might not work for me. What works for me isn't gonna work for your best friend. There is, there IS a best diet for each of us individually. It's whichever diet we can keep up with consistently over time. The longer we keep up with it while in a caloric deficit, the more we progress over time. - 🍕Diet is a preference, not a "which works the best". You like the vegetarian diet? Great! I like intermittent fasting. It's possible for both of us to progress towards our goals. - 🍕What's the point of highlighting this? I'm hoping it helps you focus less on finding that 'perfect' diet that doesn't exist, and start focusing on being more on what works for you and on the things that you can keep up with consistently over time. - 🍕They all work, all the diets work. If you're going through times, feel like giving up, feel like throwing in the towel, FOCUS ON THE PRIZE. Focus on what your life is going to look like once you make it. Once you turn that dream into a reality. Maybe it's a new car, new home, donating to charity, paying off your parents mortgage. Look, if it was easy to become massively successful, then everyone would be rich. It doesn't work like that. It's suppose to be hard. You're suppose to fight, crawl, scratch, sweat, & bleed a little bit. Enjoy it. Fall in love with the minor struggles and setbacks, they'll only make you stronger and stronger. If at first you don't succeed, try and try again. One of best pieces of advice I ever received was from my mentor. He said, "Arpit sometimes you need to slow down to speed up." Personally that's what I've done these last 2 weeks. I've slowed down to speed up. I've worked on laying the foundation, letting leaders blossom, grow into their own. Now, I'll start touring again & lighting the planet on fire. Listen, you need to have that depth of vision & have a willingness to adapt. Sometimes what worked 2 years ago won't work today. Keep your teachability index at a very high level all the time & accept change with open arms. Never give up on your dreams and goals. Believe in yourself & never stop hustling.
