All my loves in this, my birth day. ✨I don’t usually share much family stuff, but these incredible people have held and healed me through the most extraordinary crisis-initiation-transformation and I am SO powerfully lucky, blessed, grateful to and for them. I am a survivor. As of this year, I’ve survived. Thrice burned and yet she lives. Scroll through and meet my kids, eldest to youngest: Xavier, Grace and Rhea. I could not be more proud of these humans. They are heart-full, connected, communicative, caring, smart and so fun to be around. Then my husband, Eric, who is a true partner and a true love to me. We have been through trial and trauma in our decade together, but there is no one else I would wish to share this journey with. For his strangeness, his humor, his great mind and massively creative super soul is unlike anyone I’ve ever known. Last, possibility. As this year opens so much feels potentate, strands long frayed now weaving. I have another book in the writing, a class coming up, a sacred community who has seen me through the toughest times (thank you and all blessings to my friends and patrons—you sustain and share in ways that are pure magic). There is still cycle, trauma and grief to integrate, work and work to root. But this is life, the work. This is purpose, this is faith.
Today I thank you for journeying with me, family, friends, community both known and unknown. I thank my family of origin for their gifts and lessons, my mother and father, my dísir and Norns for this shimmering wyrd. Weaving now, wide.
And if you too are healing, know this: we are never alone. They live within us, ancestors and descendants. They celebrate the exceptional mystery of sacred life.✨ at Portland, Oregon
