Sights and sounds from the 2018 FIM Monster Energy Motocross of Nations from RedBud in Buchanan, MI. This track was easily my favorite place to race back in my MX days and is easily one of the best tracks in the world today. The track held up great despite loads of rains throughout the weekend. The Ritchie's sure know how to prep a track like no other. Cheers to the U.S. boys for riding hard and fighting back from poor starts, crashes and a Tomac mechanical on Saturday that had us all nervous. France wins again for a 5th straight year followed by Italy and The Netherlands. Those Europeans sure are fast outdoors; especially in poor conditions. Maybe we need a Supercross of Nations so we can dominate the Euros on our terms. Big thanks to Kyle McLeod for the tickets, my dad and all the buds we got to catch up with up. Until next time - keep it pinned // #mxon#redbud#motocrossofnations#mx at RedBud Motocross
The best show at #mxon was in the parking lot watching $70k 4 wheel drive trucks getting stuck in the mud and being towed out by the massive tractor you see in the background. Meanwhile, @rb_129 railed our 2 wheel drive rental truck with no issues lol. #rookies at RedBud Motocross
It was an amazing atmosphere during the podium of the 2018 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations at RedBud... The pride of representing you country can only be topped by the honor of bringing your flag to the podium! #MXoN#RedBudMX#MXoN18
Repost from @mxgp 🏍️🚲!!
Grass Race update: Sunday Grass Race is on and the 50 track will be open. SATURDAY OPEN RIDING IS CANCELED. This is mostly what the pits look like. No time to prep the big track - need another day to smooth out some parking spaces.
Gates will open at 5pm Saturday. Trick or treating at 6pm, pumpkin carving after. Grass track and 50 track racing Sunday. #grassrace#mxon#aftermath#redbudmx#raceglmx
Thinking back to a week ago when me and @70diesel met up with @savage925 in Michigan to experience my second MX of Nations race! • • •
It’s not really something you can catch on camera or explain well unless you’ve been there. It’s a motocross race showcasing the best in the world. Yes. The World. Top riders come from all different countries (Congrats to France, Italy and The Netherlands for the top podium finishes). Race fans also from all over the world. So many different languages, costumes, accents, traditions, and... chainsaws. • • •
It was chilly, loud and so, so SO muddy. But I loved. every second of it! So much comraderie mixed with national pride, and a love of racing. Hoping we get a chance to experience it in another country in the next year or so!
