life is beautiful.
my mother use to always tell me “life is what you make it.” i use to get upset & it never made sense because people in my life suck and i didn’t make them that way. I didn’t make people want to be evil toward me or want to do things that hurt me. im the “people pleaser” trying to satisfy everyone. if i missed out on something or someone close to me got hurt, i didn’t make that happen. i had no control over my battery dying on the way to work or not booking that huge modeling job after giving it my all. that boy or girl coming at me side ways looking for a reaction and getting exactly what they asked for. then that “you get to choose how you respond” moment clicked in. bad things in life will happen and you won’t have control over that but how you choose to respond is the key and all within your control. if people are not showing up for you in your life, being evil or hurtful toward you it’s because you are allowing them to. if you’re having a rough day, stop to appreciate the fact that god gave you that day and the opportunity to turn it around. if someone is trying to get a reaction out of you that you might find yourself flipping on. Thinking about all you have to live for and turn the other cheek. i am the most optimistic, positive person. i see the light in the darkness and although in the mist of things like pain and misery it’s hard to keep your head above water and know that you can survive it. But you have to remember that it passes and there is beauty in those hard life lessons, find it! choose to be happy in life. That’s how you’ll make it beautiful.
