Any new moms wondering when is the best time for your baby to start wearing shoes...well, here you go! While learning how to walk, it is not recommended for young babies to wear shoes. Going barefoot actually helps your baby’s foot gain the right coordination, balance and flexibility. However, it is ok to wear soft-sole shoes to protect the feet from injury. And if you’re a fashionista mom like me, you may buy a few pairs to play dress up. When trying to decide the right time to buy shoes, look for signs that your baby is ready to walk. Usually this happens around 7-18months of age. You want to start out with pre-walkers first and as your baby gets the right balance, you may transition into walking shoes.
