Exploring and strengthening my weakest links ✔️Injuries can actually be a fantastic opportunity for us to learn more about our bodies. We can quantitatively be in the best ‘shape’ of our lives and be able to put out some bad ass moves but if we aren’t learning from our pain patterns and subscribing to a daily practice of addressing them then we may be doing ourselves more harm than good. It’s taken me a lot of hard lessons both inside the gym and out and a few chronic injuries to understand that doing the homework is key, boundary setting helps and limiting the highs is necessary to stay consistent with the habit of living a healthy lifestyle. An unfiltered moment of today and some unfiltered reflective thought...People often comment on my work ethic and the fact that I am running myself into the ground every moment of every day. I possess enough self awareness to know that the way I live is not healthy and it is also selfish to a certain point. I am always on GO and most people are not. I was asked by a dear friend and extremely hardworking individual, “what do you think you will do when you achieve your biggest goal?” My silence was enough to allow this person to come to their own conclusion. That they were asking the wrong question and the one they asked had no answer. I responded with and leave you with this “I will never achieve my biggest goal but there will come a day where I achieve my last goal and that is the day that I die. There is no end goal for me. There is only a constant stream of creation. I was created. I began creating at a young age. that is all I will ever do.” I hope this sits well in someone’s brain.
