Meditate with me. In this sacred moment before me, Here, Right Now, I surrender myself fully and wholly. - Universe, my Higher Self- I do not wish to play an active role in my own self-sabotage. I do not wish to create turmoil of any kind. I release any and all thought patterns and habits that have played major roles in my own suffering. - Instead I wish to release the guilt and shame that have come from decisions I have previously routinely made that have had consequences that have not filled me with joy. I release this over and over. It is too heavy for me to carry. It is not welcome. - I now am shifting into living a more authentic version of myself. This saved my life...and career🙏🤗 When I was in my early 20'es, I was forced to change myself inside out in order to prevent myself from going crazy.🤗 But how and why? I was suffering from two different kind of pains that both had the potential to destroy the rest of my life. It was the pain in my leg that led me to understand the miracle of mindfulness meditation💫. I was suffering from pain in my right leg after an operation. It was so bad that I had days where I couldn't walk. I would crawl on the floor and even lie down several times a day. Little did I know that the healing of the pain in my leg was the key to release me from the anxiety, I had suffered from since I was 12 years old. What was even more beyond my imagination: The work I did would one day release other people too from their psychological and physical pains. And I would write a thesis about mindfulness and even create an education. Not possible to believe back then. One day during a pain attack a doctor came to my house and wanted to give me pain relief. He tried to persuade me to get an injection, but he didn't know I was even more afraid of that than the pain. I did not want medicine...no idea why🤗. How ever, my bad leg had become thinner than the other one, because I wasn't able to walk when I got those pain cramps. I had to do something. I knew I had a habit that caused me to maintain the pain. That habit was: Trying to avoid the pain I decided to try and change that habit. I had read in a book somewhere that being mindful and really present (and not avoiding anything), would be healing. So I wanted to test it. I was sitting in a car when the next pain attack came. I started to feel the usual kind of extreme pain, but this time I was not allowed to move away from it. I had to sit still and witness the pain. Fortunately I wasn't driving. The pain got stronger and stronger, and I felt a heat all over my body. I was looking down on my knee, as if I could see the pain. At this point I only wanted to scream and cry and lie down. But I was determined to see what would happen, if I stayed present. So I continued...(read what happens in my next post)

We forgot about our breath because we can breathe without thinking or effort, the breath automates itself. What you may or may not know is that our breath is the bridge between our body & mind. The way we breathe is an indicator of the level of emotional and physical well-being that we are experiencing in that moment, conversely, controlling our breath can determine our physical & emotional state. Whatever happens in the mind influences the breath, and whatever happens with the breath influences the mind. And in turn influences our body. When we are breathing shallow we are anxious & tense in the body. When we are breathing deeply our mind begins to calm and the body follows. This is simple, factual science. LET'S TALK ABOUT SELF-LOVE ❤ ➺ What does self-love mean to you? Do you see it as a way to be grateful for who you are? Do you see it as a way to nurture your body? Do you see it as a chance to feed your mind with positive energy? To celebrate being alive and blessed? OR do you see it as a being selfish? ➺ If you see it as being selfish. Please stop! There is nothing selfish about taking care of yourself, loving yourself or being proud of who you are. Yet many people do see it as a selfish gesture. Not always on a conscious level. But on an unconscious level, they do. It's visible, visible in their behaviors towards themselves. If you are unsure about the love you feel towards yourself...ask yourself the following questions. ❇ ➺ Do you: ✧ see alone time as being asocial? ✧ feel drained after helping others but feel like you have no right to complain? ✧ always say 'yes' when you actually want to say no? ✧ feel weird if you would tell others or yourself, how much you love yourself and how proud you are on your skills and talents? ✧ always notice your flaws before your strengths? ✧ prioritize everything before your own self-care or me-time? ✧ feel like you deserve punishment, hurt, disrespect? ✧ always see yourself as second best, less beautiful, less talented,... ➺ Then it's the time to get that self-love BACK into your life. Self-love isn't selfish! For a matter of fact, it will not only make you feel better, but it will also better the lives of everyone who can feel your positive energy. And really! From the lighthouse, the neat flower fields looked like a rainbow on the ground. A wonderful positive psychology book is "Flourish" by Martin Seligman. He discusses important strengths that contribute to psychological health. According to Seligman, "appreciation of beauty in art, or in nature, or just in living is an ingredient of the good life. When intense, it is accompanied by the unfashionable emotions of awe and wonder".
