I posted this picture while we we're in Maui. And I got bombarded with questions like, how much do you workout, how often do you lift weights, do you count macros, how many calories do you eat, how often do you fast, how much cardio do you do, what are your best weight loss tips, what's the fastest way to get a "summer body"? Some might think this was flattering. Honestly, it just makes me sad. There's so much emphasis on the way we look and being fit or "lean". But, what's so much more important than that is YOUR health! Being lean is a side effect of being healthy. It breaks my heart that we're more focused on how we look than our health and how we feel.
Our health is everything, but most don't really care about it until it's gone. Speaking from experience, please don't wait. Also, don't forget, being fit and being healthy are two VERY different things. I know so many fit people, and they look great in a bathing suit, but their body is over-stressed from all of the exercise they do, their hormones and thyroid are a mess, their obsessed with how they look, and their gut is inflamed from too many binges and protein shakes loaded with dairy (whey) and sugar.
My hope is that our first priority is always our health, and I promise you that once you find true health and healing, you're going to love how you look too!😉 I'm cheering for you! Let me know how I can help!
