We’ve all been there. A hectic life and you haven’t had time to wash your eyeshadow brush (and secretly only have one—agh! *for the seventh time you remind yourself to put eyeshadow brushes on your Amazon wish list because mom takes it quite seriously). Tonight, you’ve planned a hot date with your two closest friends and by golly, you want to show the world you *do* change up your life —even the small ways count! Decision reached, you grab *that* shadow. Remember? The one that basically screamed at you across the Sephora aisle and as you locked eyes, mutually agreed that, when worn, *this eyeshadow* communicated “I am on top of my game, I’m a she-wolf huntress who takes what she wants in life. I may hunker down in bed most weeknights, but everyone knows it’s because lions sleep most of the day. It’s the rest I need before leading the hunt”. The problem? You’ve only realized this Major Life Change in the eight minutes you have to do your makeup. What to do next?
You most certainly haven’t the time to hand wash and blow dry this brush—that’s reserved for YOUR hair, and that’s when you can be bothered to find the hair dryer.
Spraying it w a brush cleaner also won’t work, hello No Drying Time has already been discussed in your brain.
So here’s a quick tip to remove most of your previously used shadow: gently swirl the brush bristles all around in your face powder(loose or pressed), or a neutral-to-your-skin-tone matte shadow. Then (again, gently!) swirl the brush all around on a clean paper towel. Tissues are ok but they’re not ideal, since they leave fuzzy residue. You might have to repeat the step once more to get the most eyeshadow possible off the bristles.
And now, the She-Wolf-Lion-Hunter emerges from her cave, a changed woman, ready for that hot date. Fully ready to say to her gals, “did you notice I did my eyes differently?!!”, hoping they really do notice. .
.P.S. ya don’t need that much powder, I just had trouble filming this one-handed 😄
