I am now officially the lightest I have ever been in my adult life. Two dress sizes dropped. I love checking out my new body in the mirror everyday, and I try on clothes just to feel them getting looser each month. People only see my results, but not the blood, sweat and tears I go through behind closed doors. It is what you do consistently the majority of the time that leads to change. Right, I’m back home and I still don’t have much motivation but I HAD to fit in a run. I managed 8 long miles on my own and it did take me a while but I finished it at least. Something I’ve been struggling with lately: staying positive. It has felt like every time I try to stay on track, something has pushed me back. Right now my body is trying to tell me that it needs a break, and I need to listen. I’m allowed to try to workout again on Monday, but until then I need to let my body rest & try to let my iron figure itself out. MINOR setbacks for a MAJOR comeback. What they don’t tell you is that your mind is at major risk for food/body thoughts taking over. What they don’t tell you is that your relationships with friends might dwindle because all of your decisions are made based on food/body thoughts. I've spent a lot of my life, staring in the mirror, wishing that I could be perfect.... That I could just lose that last 10 pounds... That those scars would just disappear...
