I invite you into a dream I had last Saturday night... STAINED GLASS
I’m overlooking a house from far off and high up-
Heading an operation to remove one full side of the house, made entirely of stained glass.
It’s dark, nighttime, I’m trying to steal the entire wall of glass covertly, and now is the time when everyone should be asleep so we can get the glass.
In actuality, however, this glass is MY glass, I own it, I know inherently that it belongs to me, but I must take it when everyone is least aware.
I give the orders to start cutting the glass along the edges, and watch from afar as the glass tilts, and the entire wall of stained glass crashes down and makes a huge noise.
In the dream I had no emotion or conflict or problem around this crash, but just thought with a very neutral “Oh”, that by rushing the job and trying to take all of it in one shot, the glass was simply too big and heavy, and therefore shattered. If I had ordered a smaller cut to begin with, and taken out section by section of the stained glass, it would have come out easier, and would now still be intact.
Where are we trying to “rush” our desires into being?
We only need remember that all the pieces are coming together in the right time and place.
Why do we hide in the shadows, afraid to claim what is rightly ours?
Claim your beauty, claim your value, claim your truth,
Even if it’s claiming just one small piece at a time,
until you’re looking through a full magnificent wall of color, an intricate display of pieced together glass shards.
Seemingly insignificant standing each on their own, but together- what beauty!
Now... if this were YOUR dream, what would it be telling YOU? ✨
