Oct 2017 is when I formally started my WW journey at 18st 2.5lbs. And this was my starting (before) horrid photo.
At my heaviest 2 years prior that I was at 19st7lbs.☹️ Today I am 16st3.5 losing 2st in a year with WW.🤩
Although I am very happy with the scales loss, the changes in me is much more than that.
Yesterday was the first time I wanted to look at myself in the gym mirror, I felt I actually look fit and toned, large but proportionately shaped. 🏋️♀️🤸♀️💃 I went from size 22 to 16-18 now.
I went 0.5 size smaller in my shoes.
I have gained so much confidence and found my determination. I am now strong and resilient and frankly don't give much fuss what others think of me.
My journey is mine only, I might not be a poster girl or lose steadily, but what I lack in progress on scales, I take in abundance with perseverance, positive mindset and absolute determination to carry on. I love and accept myself and proud of every little achievements.
Bad days, holidays, family events, unexpected gains, constant STS do not derail me. I just keep going, because I know I am still winning this game of scales by sticking with it. A lot of it is through really amazing support and encouragement I get from connect and people I would like to call friends.
By the way if you look at my previous post, being the same weight does not mean I stay the same size.
Don't just focus on the scales, focus on your relationship with yourself.
Start giving yourself some credit for trying and sticking to it. It is not a quick fix, but if you keep going, eventually you will get there.
I know I am here for the long run, but I am really ok with that, because the alternative is to just give up and I cannot do that and get back to old huge me.
