As we travel we see all the vans in the van parks together settled in before dark. We roll in with the roadtrains anytime day or night and line up either head to toe in a bay roadside or at the back of a truck stop.
🚌 don’t get me wrong this is not advice I’m giving you.
🚌if every mobile home started to park in the ‘trucks only’ section I’m sure I’d be shot.
🚌I got asked by soooo many people, aren’t you scared? Just you two?
🚌this is why, van parks to me didn’t feel the same as parking between two giant trucks with blaring aircons all night.
🚌 the sound of the trucks at night would be like the ocean to us, sound asleep 💤 🚌the next morning wed hop out to get milk for Valentina’s cereal, wave with the tip of my hat and the pointer finger.
🚌with a smirk and a look on my face saying” I know i know we aren’t in a truck, but forgive me for feeling safe!
🚌 we never got told to move, cut off, moved over, and most of our trip it was just us and the trucks before the dry started.
🚌Australia stops without trucks and you looked after me out there in the 90’s when I travelled alone and this trip was what it was with you guys.
🚌are you right? Are your tyres right? Filled my diesel when we ran out after only two mins roadside.
🚌I bloody had to wave to every single one we passed though 😂 what is that? As soon as the dirt turns red in this country we all start to wave, I even started to wave to the Roos and 🐐 goats in the end 🤣
🚌Anyway I only met a tiny amount of you compared to who had our back out there and I’m so grateful. My daughter met a lot of gentleman in her travels and I must of heard her say “he was a nice man mum” a 1000 times. 🙏 at Australia
