Today is World Water Day and this year's theme is ‘Nature for Water’ – exploring nature-based solutions to the water challenges we face in the 21st century.
How can we reduce floods, droughts and water pollution? Damaged ecosystems affect the quantity and quality of water available for human consumption. Today, 2.1 billion people live without safe drinking water at home; affecting their health, education and livelihoods.
We need to ensure that everyone has access to safe water, and commit to protecting our natural environment and reducing pollution.
Wherever you are and whatever you do today, make it about nature and water. 📷 Photos at Ningaloo Reef, Karijini, and somewhere in WA by @paulmp 🇦🇺 We feature amazing photos of sights and destinations all across Australia!
