⭐️ Trainer Tip Tuesday ⭐️ Another exercise tip brought to you by @jenx_fitness_ & @srossitch13! Today’s exercise we are focusing on is the Reverse Lunge & jump(cycle) lunges! This exercise targets your glutes and hamstrings. This movement is controlled by your heal. The deeper you step with that back leg, the better hamstring stretch you get also. If you ever have knee issues with lunges or jump lunges, chances are you’re putting too much weight on or pushing off of your toes. I've decided to make Every Step Count by climbing with the American Lung Association's Fight For Air Climb to raise funds for healthy lungs and healthy air. @train_limitless came up with this exercise on the fly to help build up that leg strength necessary to climb those 50 flights of stairs! 🦵It took me a deceiving amount of coordination to do it, but practice makes better! Sunday Swingset Workout Adapted from the @jillfit #physiqueweek Back in Action workout #day6 - 10 renegade rows, 10 walking lunges, 20 jump lunges. AMRAP 15 mins. Jump lunges! Love these as a dynamic and explosive variation to a standard lunge. As well as working your quads, calves, hamstrings and glutes uniliterally it'll have you breathing hard and working your cardio. Try doing them for 30seconds, 45 seconds or a minute at a time. Count how many reps you get and repeat aiming for the same number in the same time. 3 or 4 sets will do. Excellent exercise for running conditioning. 'Jump lunges' Start in a split squat position. Push through your front leg and jump straight up and switch your feet landing with the opposite leg in front in the split squat position. Don't allow your knees to go past your toes. Keep repeating until your set is complete. If you have knee issues, don't perform. A stationary split squat will be better for your knee. Caught myself getting bored with the program so I went a little rogue last Friday and subbed some exercises. Had a blast and felt motivated for once!🙌 GHR ↔️ Cable leg kick backs, one of my favorite exercises for the 🍑, especially right after hip thrusts. Pull-ups ↔️ Neutral grip pulldowns.
