This past week has been a blessing. Not only was the weather perfect, I came out of my trip with 30 new friends, and a stronger relationship with God. He has challenged me the past couple months, but now I am SURE that he has a plan for me and he knew I couldn’t do it alone.
During my trip, a small group of us went on a hike up a mountain. I thought I was in shape but, man, did this kick my ass. While I struggled to breathe and push through the pain in my calves, I asked the Lord for strength. The entire hike up, I took a few moments to actually look around me and take in the view — and I was not disappointed.
There were multiple times I wanted to turn around on the hike up. I even cried a little. But instead of giving up, I pushed on. This reminded me that nothing good comes easy, and sometimes you have to work harder for the better view.
