For some 2019 began on a high, however, there are others who suffered loss (of all types), which led to the questions of: Why me? How and WHY has this happened?? What have I done to deserve this?? Although, these questions are valid, we tend to overlook the plan of God within the trials we face. •
JAMES 1:2-4 is a reminder and for some an awakening: “Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing.” [AMP]
The trials we face aren’t punishment, nor condemnation or even karma. The trials we face are simply for our good, we go through the valley in order to come out better on the other side. God desires for us to be matured, He desires the fruit of the spirit to be fully established within us and He desires us whole and perfected.. Made in His image... JOY is being able to say, God I trust your plan and your path although I’m hurting, in pain and don’t understand where this path is going. Joy exceeds the ability to be happy, because happiness is a temporal emotion and momentary feeling. Remember that “The JOY OF THE LORD is your strength” and His strength is what carries us!
