Let’s talk about these pants..... They are @nikewomen and I LOVE them!!! But they have a story. I received these pants for Christmas last year from a co-worker. He knew that I was highly active and loved to workout #activemom I was also 9 months pregnant and 53 lbs heavier then I usually am. So, these pants looked like they were Nelia’s size and not mine. #pregoproblems I have looked at these pants for OVER a year in my closet. Thinking that there is no way they will fit me. And if they did, I would look like a busted can of biscuits! I have been working my ass off and figured, why not?!? Try them on Amber and if they don’t fit, change. Don’t beat yourself up. Don’t put yourself down. Don’t allow it to ruin your day. Try. Just try....... Well, they fit. And I didn’t hate them on me. #win In life we will always find a reason to not try something. Tonight’s workout brought to you from my casa. After running around this evening, utilizing the open space upstairs seemed perfect! So here is my at-home workout! 1. 1-1-2 shoulder press (4x5) 2. Perfectionism was my mask of choice. ⠀⠀ “You’ve got it all together.” ⠀⠀ This is a comment that has been said to me numerous times throughout my life. I used to wear it like a badge of honor. But, I’m about to call you all OUT. ⠀⠀ I used to love when people viewed me as the girl with “all her ducks in a row.” That meant I was successful. But now, this comment drives me nuts. ⠀⠀ For the longest time, perfectionism was my mask. A mask brought on by fear. It kept me safe from judgement, pain, and disappointment. Scared of upsetting anyone or rocking the boat. ⠀⠀ Can you admit to that? ⠀⠀ I would strive for perfection in sports, school, and career. Wanted to be the loyal, trustworthy friend everyone loves. To be the best... at everything. ⠀⠀ But, you know what? That’s exhausting. It’s not all rainbows and butterflies. Not here. Not anywhere. Why pretend? I’ve had friendships fall apart. I’ve mindlessly gained 20 pounds in 3 months. I’ve felt ashamed for binge eating entire bags of chips. I’ve been laid off from a job I loved. I’ve lived paycheck to paycheck. I’ve been so incredibly stressed my hair fell out. I’ve watched loved ones suffer in their health. ⠀⠀ The people that appear to put their best foot forward often have the most held back. ⠀⠀ We’re all human at the end of the day. Aspiring to have it all together is an endless, exhausting battle. And nobody wins with a mask. ⠀⠀ Not the celebrities. Not the bachelorette’s. Not the bikini models. ⠀⠀ Just know it’s okay to shed that mask. To let your guard down. And to be more YOU. Not the YOU you think you “should” be. Not the YOU that others want to see. The one on the right I wasn’t working out, I was doing Shakeology and drinking my water... but I wasn’t sleeping good (hello insomnia!), I was anxious, and I was tired. I was proud of myself for doing something for myself... but I wasn’t doing everything I needed!!! Fast forward to 2018! I joined a gym (I am sleeping better and am less anxious after workouts!), I’m still tired (I have five boys!) but not where I could take a nap for hours and hours a day! (Except when I’m sick.... rest is best!), i am no longer doing shakeology but I am doing Herbalife (they keep me full! Like really full!) I was a SLACKER the past two weeks. I didn't work out or watch what I was eating.😣I gained back 4 of the 5 lbs I had lost🤦‍♀️ I knew I had to get back into it this week because I am not going to lose weight if I don't try and summer will be here and I will NOT be happy with myself because there is a 👙 I have my 👀 on. Today, I ate better 🍎🍎and I got back on my treadmill💪 🏋️‍♀️. And let me tell you- I did not want to get on the treadmill and even when I was on it all I could think about was getting off 😐 but I sucked it up and stayed on. Then when it was time to get off I was so proud of myself. I’ve been so sick the last 3 days and seriously contemplated taking a sick day. BUT, I really missed the gym (I couldn’t go for 3 days 😷) so I drug my butt out of bed, went to work and the gym after 💪🏻. I had to modify my workout some because I’m still sick and legit wanted to just lay down and take a nap. But something is better than nothing and I feel much better getting it done. I also stopped by my favorite Advanced Nutrition to pick up some power crunch bars. You guys, I compared my transformers from the first Monday to today, the last Monday of the program and I am honestly so proud of myself! Look at the increase in those numbers! Yeah, the second one is only one up, but that’s an ab transformer and I’m honestly surprised I did so many in the first place! It’s a marathon not a sprint. Take it 1 day at a time and just be proud that you’re even on the journey to begin with.

Finally went out to shovel a path to the front door...2 ft under the snow was a 1/4-1/2" thick ice shelf, followed by another 5 or 6" of snow. This woman has spaghetti arms 😴 I also took some time to be proud of my (slow) acclimation to the cold - 19° and sunny! Only a few more winters til I'm as hardcore as Malcolm and Cyril from Vertical Limit 😉😂😂

Esta llena de vitaminas, carbs y fibra! No temas comerte un elote pues este delicioso alimento está lleno de fibra que necesitas para tu vida diaria, contiene ácido fólico, vitamina B, entre otros. Ingredientes: •cebolla •jitomate •ajo •1 chile poblano •Elote desgranado (cantidad la que tú quieras) •caldo de pollo Preparación 👩🏻‍🍳👨🏼‍🍳: •picar cebolla, el jitomate y el ajo •Asar y pelar el chile poblano posteriormente cortarlo en tiras •freír con una mini gota de aceite de coco la cebolla, el ajo y el jitomate / ahí mismo colocar los granos de elote/ las tiras del poblano/ colocar agua 💦 (aprox un vaso grande de agua. Sazonar 🧂 •Colocar caldo de pollo (al gusto) •Tapar y esperar a que los granos se pongan suaves. DISFRUTA! S I M P L I F Y Why not have a little dessert for breakfast? 🤩Literally took a bite of these oats and said, "Omg, what could be better?!" Chocolate, peanut butter and bananas... it's that simple! 😋🤤 I've been thinking about simplifying lately... it's an interesting season. One where I feel God leading me to hone in on what is truly fruitful in my life, where my energy is best spent (because it's my greatest commodity!) and even the things that i need to let go of because they've just been distractions from the real deal. You know what i mean... time killers that keep you from focusing, space fillers that just keep you busy, relationships that do nothing but drain. One thing I've had to face is that part of me has been running from pain. Trying to avoid it at all costs by being busy doing ALL the things but not doing any of them well. So it's time to simplify. Let myself be quiet. Allow the space and the silence, and see what I can create from that! . I LOVE how supportive this community is, so if you can relate, help me!! How are you simplifying in your season? 🤗😎😘 . CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER OATS - My usual cauli-oats recipe (from a few posts back) - Add in dark chocolate cocoa powder instead of the spices - 1/2 scoop of vanilla @questnutrition protein powder - Top with semisweet chocolate chips, banana and @pb2foods peanut butter (pretty thinned out so it would spread! 😋) Love you guys!!
