Here's one thing I know for sure, when you don't feel worthy (in all ways), it infects every relationship and opportunity, either by slowly poisoning it or swiftly suffocating it. We all have moments of self-doubt and lowered confidence but the biggest difference in how those moments impact you is your sense of worthiness. No matter my struggles, my new found sense of worthiness always always always brings me back to the surface.
I remember a few months ago crying bitterly in my car feeling defeated but, yet, in that moment there was a victory that I recognized even through the pain and tears. Something had changed. It came in the way I viewed my struggle and the pain around it. My thoughts no longer centred around me questioning my value, my worth and my accomplishments. Instead, it was about me feeling anguish because I felt others could not see what I brought to the table. There's a HUGE difference in those trains of thought!
Both involve sorrow and pain but one destroys your sense of self with a skewed perspective (creating damage that reaches further than those moments) while the other is still grounded in worthiness (allowing you to express grief without destroying your identity). Your heart still aches but you don't question your worth. You still know, with conviction, that you are worthy of goodness and happiness. 📸@dzktz
