Mamas transitioning your babies to the the bottle..
Let me tell you a story about our very first bottle feed with Zoey. After she had gone to sleep one night, I decided to get her bottle ready since I knew she’d be up in a few hours to feed again. I knew this new introduction would be no walk in the park but I was mentally prepared to go through all the feels of this new experience with her. As soon as she woke up Zarmand, (my husband) picked her up and gently prompted the bottle. To our surprise she drank the whole 60 ml without batting an eye! We were shocked! Another 60 ml...No problem! She was a natural. We were high-fiving each other over this major parent win. Buuttt, thats where it ends friends, because every bottle feed that took place after that night was challenging to say the least.
Flash forward to today, a few tears, defeats, and arm workouts later, she now loves her bottle just as much as she loves nursing. .
Sharing my #mamalogues in partnership with @philipsavent because motherhood is filled with hard and emotional transitions and we could all use a story to know we’re in it together. Every feeding journey is different. Every mama has a story, and I love hearing them. .
