#BridgesofFriendship Indonesian Naval Ship KRI Sultan Thaha Syaifuddin and Maritime Patrol Aircraft CN-235 led by Commodore Dafit Santoso are on a visit to Port Blair to participate in the 33rd edition of India-Indonesia Coordinated Patrol (IND-INDO CORPAT) to be held from 19 March to 04 April 2019. The IND-INDO CORPAT seeks to underscore India’s peaceful presence and solidarity with friendly maritime neighbours to ensure good order in the maritime domain, consolidate interoperability and strengthen existing bonds of friendship. HE Ambassador of Indonesia to India, Mr Shidharto Raza Suryodipuro is also on a visit to Port Blair to attend the opening ceremony. The Indian delegation is led by Naval Component Commander, Andaman and Nicobar Command. Ship and aircraft from both countries will undertake patrolling on their respective sides of the International Maritime Boundary line. During the stay in harbour, various activities such as official calls, formal reception onboard, sporting fixtures, ship open to visitors and professional interactions have been planned for the visitors. The 33rd IND-INDO CORPAT, also coincides with 70 years of India-Indonesia diplomatic ties and will contribute towards #IndianNavy’s efforts to consolidate inter-operability and forge strong bonds of friendship across the seas.
