Leg Day! & Some Exercise Selection Thoughts..
Clip one - 160kgs x 10 High Bar Squat - completed 3 sets of 10 here, hitting a nice bolus of volume, with intensity peaked on the final set, goal next rotation, 165. Slowly ramping these up again, and they feel FAR more biased on my quads than low bar, relative intensity will rise as I become more neurologically efficient with the move, but today, they felt EPIC. The focus is to keep these KNEE dominant, not HIP. Which should bias my quads more.
Clip two - 75kgs A Side x 15 on the hack, spotted by @theantibro_jack - using the squat shoes simply as I had them on from high bar and they actually felt awesome, again, biasing more quad, and felt far more stable across the set with the addition of these. I hit one set of 10 with 75kgs prior as a feeler, then took it there with the second set, with volume being slightly higher and the addition of a new movement prior, I had to be cautious here.
Clip three - Walking Lunges - Imo, nothing beats the walking lunge for developing some dense glutes, I mean… look at Ronnie. So they are back in programming now and 40kgs felt fairly smooth for two total lengths, besides my lungs being on fire, which will start to settle down a little as I get fitter on this specific exercise.
Overall, a 10/10 session, which featured some other moves as well, to stay up to date with my full training log, sign up to madebymorriscoaching.com , as it’s all going down on there!.
