We mope a lot about our failures and mistakes. ⁣ ⁣ If the methods you’re using are no longer working, it’s time to put a stop to the things you’ve always done. ⁣ ⁣ Check out my client, @taniaprocyk, who I had the pleasure of working with towards her very first figure show back in 2016-17.⁣ ⁣ This wife and mother of two daughters, knows a thing or two about hard work. She came to us a few years ago to get in shape. For a long time, one of her goals was to compete in a fitness competition. ⁣ ⁣ Before prepping for a show, Tania worked her ass towards under the watchful eyes of ——— her goal of doing a photoshoot. I wanted to see if she had what it took to do it. With flying colors, she did. ⁣ ⁣ Then some time later, I prepped her for her first regional figure show. ⁣ ⁣ We did a 16 week ONLINE prep. I gave her an automated meal plan for the first half of the prep and then I switched her over to flexible dieting for the other half. ⁣ ⁣ The switch was so much better for her. She knew what foods she can have and she loved the variety and no restrictions. She still managed to dine with her family on occasion. CARBZ ARE BAD. Lol No, they’re not. Carbs & fats is where our energy comes from. Carbs FUEL our bodies & help us build our bodies to be big and strong 💪🏼 Carbs are in A LOT more than just bread & pasta The veggies you see here: have carbohydrates in them. OMGGG WHAAAA🥦 Now, there’s a difference between a complex carb & simple carbohydrate. Complex carbohydrates are higher in fiber, are more nutrient packed & digest slowly Simple carbohydrates are sugar- things like soda, white bread & other processed/refined foods. One thing I always do is pick the healthier option. I love pasta, I just make sure I use whole wheat rather than regular pasta for the reasons I stated above. Not saying regular pasta is “bad” for you, but it definitely breaks down different in our bodies So, ya I chose complex carbohydrates to fuel me, and give me the nutrients I need!

Only filmed squats today, but it was a decent session! So hell yeah! Started off with some easy 30kg squats with a pause at the bottom, and going down really slow to break those muscles. 😌 It's was a nice set as warm-up! ______ I didnt feel the strongest, but it still went up nicely. Even got a PB. (2X50KG) before this it was always just the 1 half rep (there wasn't enough dept imo.) and I was stuck on that 50kg half rep for a long time! So happy I can squat 50 a lot deeper and smoother now. I've already done a 55kg PR squat. (last squat sesh) and today I hit a decent 52,5kg for a rep. Moving up! Getting stronger. 💪🏻 Loving the process.

Be real. Be transparent. Inspire others through how you handle your imperfections. Your scars are beautiful. Use them as your wings. I am not what has happened to me & neither are you. You are lovable, You are more than enough. I think this is something we all struggle with internally & much more than we want to admit because we are held captive by many things we have not relinquished. We have the choice to continue to identify with our past or not. We have the choice to hold onto the past, live in fear of the future, & destroy our present by being neither here nor there. It is essential that we become aware that our thought processes & sense of self image is a conceptual one derived from a compilation of our memories & conditioning of the past. When we can acknowledge & break free from being held captive by these conditioned thought methods, we can then be fully here, Present. Ready for all that is awaiting us now. The Past is but a memory & the Future is merely anticipation of the mind. In all reality, the only moment we ever truly have is this moment now, the Present. The next moment is not guaranteed & the last no longer exists. Be fully Present now, work to let go of living in fear of your past & identifying with what has happened to you & what you may have experienced. This will only rob you of so much more of the life God blessed you with. Don’t do that to yourself. Life is a gift & truly a Beautiful thing. We each were specifically gifted our own for a divine reason. Our stories are unique to ourselves & hold many inspirational purposes. Do not be discouraged... Nothing changes over night & growth is not always rainbows & butterflies & cupcakes (actually it’s pretty much never any of that lol) but with continued perseverance & an indomitable-will you can transform your life, you can break cycles, you can be a game changer. You can inspire others, Even yourself. Be encouraged. Don’t give up. Stay the course. I will not be defined by the scars of my struggles but rather transform them into the medals of my strengths. Almost over this cold. Its nice that I got sick on my planned deload week. During a deload im forced to really assess the last 6-8 weeks, diet, etc... making some changes to diet starting Monday. • Other than recovering physically. deloading helps me get mentally amped about training and helps me get a more accurate perspective on my approach to bodybuilding. Do you ever deload?

Let’s talk strategy!📈💯🤓💪 . When I first started working out, I had plenty of time and enthusiasm but very little progress after the first couple of months. I did whatever I felt like doing that day, spent a lot of time in the gym and enjoyed every second of it.😁 . Later on, I started being hungry for results so I started goal setting and tracking my lifts. This pulled me out of the F*ckarounditis stage and eventually made me aware of some important workout programming concepts: . 💡Linear progression – Slowly make exercises heavier each week. This forces your body to adapt and strengthen your muscles so you will be more capable at that exercise. The result: growth. This applies to both weight training and cardio. . 💡1-Rep Max (1RM) – The 1 rep max is the absolute maximum weight you can lift at a certain exercise once you are warmed up. The 1RM is an important starting point for any workout program because your sets, reps and weights will be based on a percentage of your 1RM. . 💡Periodization - Apparently, the human body gets tired sometimes.😅 If you are regularly pushing yourself, your body will adapt but also accumulate fatigue. Over (a long) time, this fatigue could lead to injuries and lowered performance. This can be solved with periodization, which is basically to have easy & hard periods in your program. If you ‘’deload’’ every once in a while, say 1 light week per 8 weeks of training, your body gets the opportunity to repair and recover.🤕👍 . Currently I’m running a program called 5/3/1 Boring But Big by Jim Wendler (a pro powerlifter and coach). This program has cycles of 4 weeks, where every 4th week weight is added. It’s based on the above principles and has kept fitness fun and rewarding for me. Results so far are way better🔥 than when I started so I’m confident that this strategy with calculated progress and planned deload periods is works.🙏 . Hopefully this helps some of you! Puha en lang dag😴 Generelt bare en lang uge. Jeg havde ikke regnet med at være SÅ træt som jeg har, så jeg har prioriteret søvn, så jeg kunne læse mine lektier og være forberedt til undervisningen, jeg synes at det er med at have tungen lige i munden for tiden, især fordi vi skal til at have vores GK2 eksamen og undervisningen går utrolig meget på det🙏 Dog synes jeg ikke at det er blevet nemmere/ mere forståeligt 😪 Jeg føler mig en smule rastløs når jeg ikke får trænet og jo længere tid der går i mellem, jo mere af min motivation ryger😕 Eller..
