It is the Spoken word that precedes the written. When acquiring, and then learning, and eventually studying in a language that is foreign to a human being, it is the Spoken that we must focus on. This is an Absolute and there is nothing wrong with the system, unless one is hard of hearing, or, unless one is incapable of listening; then it becomes a problem.
