I was asked by my sweet friend @____naru31 if the @gisou honey infused hair oil is worth the price (and believe me it’s pricey ($45 for travel size, $90 for full)) and it really put into perspective for me what “worth it” means.
To me, for a product to be worth it, it must deliver results that no other product can, while taking into consideration the products ingredients and it’s parent company’s moral stature. There are plenty of great dupes for everything out there, but few products are ever truly the same in every way. As a person with dry hair, who has tried endless leave-in conditioners and oils, I am personally so loyal to Gisou because not only do they ethically source honey from their own apiary (bee farm), my hair has never responded better to any other oil on the market.
It never sits on top my strands, it quickly sinks in and softens the damage at my ends, giving my normal/maybe a bit dull blonde hair a shine I never thought I could achieve. I bought a full size bottle in the spring, and after using just a half a dropper a day, I’m just barely halfway through it.
In the long term, I’ve seen less breakage, and overall softness and health in my hair despite coloring and semi regular heat styling. So in my eyes, the price absolutely reflects the results I get from this product, but it’s important to do this exercise with you and your hair needs in mind, while trying to ignore the hype (which I’ll admit I love to contribute to 😅✨) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
