Let’s talk about how I uses to read these magazines like they were the Bible! With articles like try this workout and “lose 10 lbs in 10 day”, or get a “bikini body in 2 weeks”! Try theses low carb recipes or jumpstart your metabolism with these magic diets! . . I tried it all, for a few days, gave up, opened a new magazine and started over! Did I give it my all, nope, but I expected a quick fix from reading about all theses things! I tried all those moves and exercises the magazine shows you, and half the time couldn’t figure out what I was actually supposed to be doing! I did those month long challenges where you were given a sample meal plan but had to figure out the rest on your own and ultimately failed. . . But quick fixes are not realistic! There is no magic diet or magic pill! You just have to have a healthy balance of exercise and fueling your body right! The exercises in theses magazines are great for some people but really will not work for others! . . I have been on this journey for around half a year now, and I’m still learning, no quick fix here! Just dedication and consistency! The meal plan I follow is so easy, you get so many recipes, and it varies based on the person. No cookie cutter meal plan that is just supposed to work for everyone! It is very customizable to your lifestyle! . . I still skim through these magazines and use it as a guide to learn new things or new recipes! I like reading some of the articles and some of the magazines have really grown in there inclusivity of all body types. But do I take what the magazine says word for word and believe it is a magic tool to make me skinny! No way!! . . Are you looking for a quick fix to your health?! Then I can not help you! Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life. This is a day in my life- Fit(ish) coach life -- teacher life.. I can do both. I choose to do both. And in reality, I am teaching and mentoring in both- just to different ages, obvs 🤣 — I didn't become a teacher or a health and wellness coach for the money and the fame 😉I have alwaysss loved teaching and always will..and I have always been into fitness and keeping myself healthy-- even when at times it was a struggle for me, but I never gave up on my goals. — Everyday I work; I work to be the best teacher I can be, I work to help my students LOVE learning, I work to be a better me, both mentally and physically, I work to help others LOVE wanting to help themselves by finding their why and begin their journeys, and I work even just to inspire one person to say YES I CAN. AB WORKOUT COMIN YOUR WAY!!⠀ ⠀ Last year I set a goal that I’d have #AbsBy25 and my 25th birthday is coming up soon (like in April where is the time going?!) so you better believe I’m doing ALL the ab workouts 😂 Here are some of my fave ab moves to add to the end of a workout!⠀ ⠀ I did three rounds of each exercise, for 30 seconds each! If I had to do both sides, I did each side for 15 seconds per round! For a little burnout at the end I held a low plank for a minute!⠀ ⠀ Don’t forget to bookmark and tag your workout buddy so you can incorporate this in your next workout!

I’m 36 and saving myself for marriage. 😁 #forrealz • • After I was sexually assaulted in college I spent 15 years of my life not really caring what happened to my body, I used & abused her. 😪 • • When I gave my life back to God two years ago I made a promise that I would do the right thing if & when He put a man in my life. 🙏🏼 • • Last year on Spring Break with my Campus Life kids I made a pact with a few of the girls to wait until marriage. Well, I’m waiting... painfully, I ain’t gonna lie. • • For the first time in my life I want to keep sex sacred, because it is sacred. COACH.⠀ ⠀ This one word has changed my life in the past 8 months. It has pushed me past all of my fears. It has pushed me to set goals and reach them. It has provided me with the best community that pushes me a little harder every day. It has given me some of the greatest friends. It has shown me who my true supporters are. It has challenged me during my workouts. Thought I would post a little art that I made a couple of weeks back. That’s my other outlet. My 1st love. Art. My 2nd love is/ was food. I thought the hardest part of all of this getting fit would be my appetite. I love food. All food. I even used to wake up in the middle of the night to eat. I was a night eater. But since I’ve started this program I’ve noticed I’m just not as hungry anymore. It’s like why mess up what I’ve been working so hard to accomplish?! Not sure if it’s endorphins or what but it’s been a welcomed change! Whatcha snackin on today? What’s for breakfast? Lunch? Dinna? 🍽 • • Have you ever starved yourself to try to lose a pound? I have 🙋🏻‍♀️ It is NO fun. One, the jitters, two I loveeee food, 3 it’s just plain bad for your bod. 🥴 • • Do you know how many women out there starve themselves? Skip breakfast, wear spanx, binge eat at night and say horrifying things to themselves in the mirror? A lot. Do you do any of these things? Have you in the past? I have. 😪 • • Wouldn’t it be GREAT if you could eat tons of tasty, delicious food; cheese, bread and chocolate too and still lose weight and reach your goals? Hmmmm...what a concept. Or maybe NOT a concept but a real life thing. 😱 • • DID YOU KNOW: the heavier you are the MORE calories you need during the day? It’s true. Your body requires more fuel because your ❤️ usually requires more to beat. Your body requires more energy and when you don’t give it that energy through good, healthy fuel it thinks it’s starving so it actually reproduces MORE fat cells in order to keep working. 👆🏼 #truestory💯 • • Please, I beg you, don’t starve yourself. When you wake up, drink 10-16 oz of water and eat a little something within the first hour of waking. Breakfast is breaking the fast of sleep and your body REQUIRES energy to make it through the day. Try it, just for a week then report back. ••• I made these mistakes, all of them. Weight loss isn’t actually that hard IF you know what your body requires, which most of us don’t. School vacation week looks very different when your kids are older, especially if they are homebodies. . Gone are the days of vacation camps, play dates, and activities meant to fill the week. Here are the days of sleeping in, of wanting an empty calendar. . It’s hard to resist that feeling of “we should be *doing* something.” We don’t always have to be productive machines, filling every moment with industry. It’s okay to want a little emptiness. Some days the motivation just isn’t there & today was one of those days.🙈 I really wanted to stay cuddled up in bed this morning instead of pressing play on my workout. (Honestly it would have been SO easy to do that because my husband & pup are basically the worlds best cuddlers.) But then my own self-discipline stepped in to remind me that I would have to get up pretty soon regardless and I am either going to run the day or the day would run me.💕 So I decided to get up, get moving & show up for myself - before showing up for my job, my classes, my family, etc. 😉 And I’m so thankful I did! I have come to find fitness to be what makes me a better person, what lifts me up when I am down and what makes my body feel better.⠀ ⠀ I look at this transformation and can’t help but smile and be proud of my hard work and dedication. I have always obsessed over my arms. I feel that I have the most noticeable changes in them in the quickest time. One thing I’ll never do is pretend like I have my life together when I don’t for the social media world🙈😂 most of the time I’m winging it & I’m the least organized person everrrr. But when it comes to my fitness & nutrition, I’m usually able to pride myself for staying on track. Key word, USUALLY....😬🙈 . . . I’ve been yoloing pretty hard since Christmas & not only do I feel guilty about it, but I’m starting to physically see it & I’m definitely feeling it! 😴 I’m frustrated with myself for splurging more than I’d like to admit the past few months. But I have 2 choices: I can let that consume me & continue to be upset or I can pat myself on the back for not letting those weekend splurges turn into weeks, or even months, like they used to. I’m a huge advocate of balance & with my trip to Cabo coming up you best believe I’m going to bathe in all the guac, margs, & cervezas’s. But I have full intentions of jumping back on track right when I get home. Not because I feel like I need to, but because I feel SO much better when I’m focusing on health & keeping promises to myself. at Washington

Where are my ambiverts at? . AMBIVERT = has both introvert and extrovert tendencies. For me, I’m an introverted extrovert! Thank you, @kvvanney for explaining this to me! . I love exerting energy on and for other people but then there are moments of complete hermit-ness and I don’t want to talk to anyone or associate myself with others. . This is not a bad thing! I use to think in college that when I had these moments, that there was something wrong with me. But now I know that I need these moments to refuel. I saw a shirt the other day that said “future stay at home dog mom” and immediately identified with that SO HARD. ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ It’s days like these that remind me why I work so hard. My class got cancelled, so I’m sitting on my couch, with a latte, listening to the rain and helping girls get fit - from my phone. I may have even snuck in a little nap with my pup. The point is- I wouldn’t even know this freedom if I had never started coaching. ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ So many of us are afraid to dream of what we want and it’s scary. I literally thought my only option was to be a doctor or an engineer and have a “regular life” with a good paycheck- and then I saw my coach quit her 4 jobs to work online and stay home with her dogs. ⠀ 👆🏻that’s where I’m headed. And it takes some work, and sacrifices and hustling really damn hard but yeah, I think I’m gonna buy a shirt that says #stayathomedogmom because it’s not too far off from being true💕 at Fort Worth, Texas

I keep nutrition simple.⠀ ⠀ I bring the easiest snacks to work - apples, strawberries, grapes, carrots, peppers, toast with pb, Greek yogurt, beachbars. Something of that variation everyday!⠀ ⠀ When I make breakfast or lunches at home my go to’s are - eggs with veggies (broccoli or peppers) - shown here!!!!, kodiak pancakes, veggie burgers with hummus, salads. Simple yet delicious.⠀ ⠀ Now when it comes to dinners. I still live at home. So yes my mom does most of the cooking. 🤣 I am trying to learn so I have been trying to cook at least one night a week! With these I am keeping it simple too - crockpot recipes, sheet pan recipes, chicken dishes, etc.⠀ ⠀ Simple simple simple. So many people overthink eating healthy, but it doesn’t have to be hard!

If so, here’s a couple things that have helped me: 🌈Set your alarm for 15 minutes just 15 minutes earlier than you normally get up 🌈Find an accountability buddy! Our fitness community has connected me to other women whom I’ve asked to keep me accountable and make sure I’m up when my alarm goes off! 🌈Find a personal development book about a subject that interests you: 100 Days to Brave, You are a Bad Ass, or the Bible are great starters 🌈Set an an alarm for 5 minutes or however much time you can allow yourself, and be done when it goes off for the day. I had surgery January 22nd to check the status of my endo/fibroid situation and I’ve been mostly exhausted, dizzy and light headed since. I started our new 20 minute program with my ladies 1/14 and made it through 8 workouts. 😣 • • Once doc gave me the clear to workout I went hard and fast and about killed myself, whoops. 🤦🏻‍♀️ It legit knocked me off my feet. I was scared to workout after that. • • I’ve never, not completed a workout program. I was super pumped about a 20 minute workout but my body quickly told me that ‘it ain’t happenin.’ KK and I did a little kickboxing and some yoga this weekend and it felt SO good to move my body. • • So today I decided to restart the program I finished 2018 with, its heavy weights 5 days a week with a super easy to follow meal plan with my FAVVVVZIES trainer. 💕 • • I know myself and if I try to do a workout my body rejects, I’ll quit. I’ll feel like a loser and I’ll quit, it’s just me. I need something that makes me better, not frustrated. Living well and healthy is hard enough. 😂 • • I CRUSHED today, I struggled to get started but I crushed it. I was SHOCKED at how much strength I’ve maintained. I’ve had genuine fear of going back to 242 pounds in the past but I don’t fear that anymore. I love to exercise, (mostly) I’ve learned that it is a complete BLESSING to be able to do a workout I didn’t think I could do or pass up a cookie on a non/cheat day. It feels good to feel good and while I ain’t 100% I’m sure not where I was a week ago. It SUCKS when you WANT to workout and can’t. It makes you appreciate and push through the days you CAN but don’t want to. • • I’d love for you to hop in with us. It’s a new week, a time for fresh perspective. I know I needed it. Do you? If you can’t maintain it long term, it’s not realistic!⠀ ⠀ I tried losing weight for years but nothing ever stuck. I tried working out at the gym for 2+ hours a day. I went an entire semester eating 1200 calories a day (or less). I thought losing weight was all about restricting myself. But there was no way I could maintain that extreme lifestyle, and at some point I’d fall off the wagon and gain all the weight back!⠀ ⠀ The difference now is that I don’t diet or count calories or cut out food groups. I don’t spend hours in the gym on the elliptical. Instead I eat to fuel my body, and I know what and how much food makes me feel good. I don’t “punish” myself for having a cookie every now and then because I know I’m not swearing off cookies forever! I workout for 20-30 minutes a day at home because I know it’s realistic.⠀ ⠀ Here’s the truth sister: any diet or fitness routine might get you results short-term. But if you want to maintain those results and not be totally miserable in the process, you have to find a plan you can actually stick with! 〰️ Morning routines 〰️ My mornings are looking completely different to a couple of years ago. I’m no longer pressing snooze 5 times, rushing and trying to smash down breakfast. I now wake up early, intermittent fast and get to work by 7.30am. This gives me time to brew a coffee, put on essential oils (I chose lemon and peppermint today) and slowly brain dump via journaling and creating to-do lists via Asana. Down 15lbs since the beginning of my journey! This is a HUGE milestone for me because losing weight has always been so hard for me! . . I struggle for years with staying consistent with my health and nutrition. Somethings worked for a while but then I gave up because I was not motivated or they were not sustainable for my lifestyle. . . It’s been around one year since I started to follow my coach. I saw her doing these at home workouts and talking about her community behind her. I was interested in learning more but I did not commit until May. . . I thought about how long I have tried to be healthy and what was the reason why I was not successful. The underlying factors were accountability and feeling as though I was on this journey alone. . . What my coach was offering me was a community to go on this journey with me, the convenience of working out from home, and a meal plan that does not eliminate food groups. . . I finally decided to give it a try and have never felt more grateful! 15lbs is amazing to me but I have also gotten so much more out of this journey!
