We weren't kidding. There's a widespread hangover from last month's dress-up season. We've done makeup for several interesting parties this year. And this time, we have the beautiful Fema as a regular Filipina mom, transform into an Asian Novela star!
Inspired by a Japanese Kimono for her DYIed and Hand-beaded outfit, we went for a very sweet and subtle peachy eye makeup, which went super amazingly well with her contacts, then smothered her lovely cheeks with a complementary blush.
One other thing we definitely made sure of though, was that she'll get that ultimate asian glowing glass skin! a perfect Kat Von D base foundation, Este Lauder Translucent powder and Morphe highlights to the rescue!
For her lips we didn't shy away from a plum glossy pink, but also "erased" the corner of her lips for a smaller and rounder pout.
To seal the whole look , Cha created a beautiful Maru Mage inspired hairstyle!
Everyone in the studio looooved her look and we couldn't get enough of how well she's rocking the "asian" vibe that we all jumped in and had an impromptu mini-photoshoot transforming Beauty Express into a make-shift studio! We already had a Japanese divider and cherry blossoms decors available so it took us less than two minutes to set everything up!
Fema said a lot of people thought she looked more Korean or Thai than the Japanese look we were going for. I guess all asian-inspired makeup looks have some undeniable similarities- glass/dewy skin, soft arched/straight brows, light to no contouring and peachy, pinky lips.
