MY TOP 3️⃣ TIPS TO STAY HEALTHY WHILE TRAVELING! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It can be sooo hard to balance a healthy lifestyle while traveling because... 1. You may not have a lot of control when traveling 2. You likely want to enjoy your trip & live it up to the fullest! (which may mean indulging in unhealthy stuff) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ PLUS it’s frustrating to be thrown off your routine and come back home from a vaca feeling gross, sluggish, and guilty about neglecting your health! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⬇️So here are my Top 3 Tips for Healthy Travel!✈️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1️⃣ PREP FOOD || You may not be able to control what you eat where you’ll be but you can do a lot beforehand to prep to an extent! I always pack healthy snacks for going there AND coming back. My go-to’s are apples, snap peas, bell peppers, nuts/nut butters & protein bars! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (I even go as far as to pick my meals at restaurants I know I’m going to before I leave for the trip!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2️⃣ PLAN TO MOVE || I always figure out how I’ll get workouts in prior to the trip. Will I have access to a gym? Can I run outside? Any nearby yoga studios or parks? I always do cardio the day after traveling to get back to my baseline & decrease bloating. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (I always bring my resistance loops & sliders too. No excuses!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3️⃣ ADVOCATE || It’s SO important to communicate what you need when traveling. If you never ask or if you don’t take initiative, you won’t get what you want or need & won’t feel as good as you could! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (I always am super kind to flight attendants. DIY ACNE FIGHTING TONER Serves: Yields 30 mL, feel free to double or triple the batch as you will go though it quite fast using it twice a day. This toner keeps for 12 months. SUPPLIES/INGREDIENTS 👉1 Tbs Apple Cider Vinegar (with the ‘mother’) 👉1 Tbs Witch Hazel 👉10 drops Lavender Essential Oil 👉5 drops Jojoba Oil MAKE IT Mix all ingredients on a small light protective spray bottle Shake gently to disperse the oils. Store in a cool dark place…. Use on clean skin at least twice a day. Shake gently before each use and either spray directly on skin or apply to a cotton pad and then to your face. Shoutout to my sister-in-law for passing along this @skinnytaste recipe to get us through the cold months! I posted to my story and was bombarded with demands for the goods (have you guys been fed lately?!😉) so here it is! • 🍜🍝Lasagna soup🍝🍜 14 oz sweet Italian chicken sausage, casing removed 1/2 chopped onion 2 crushed garlic cloves 4 Tbsp chopped, fresh parsley (I used dried 🤷🏽‍♀️) 3 cups low sodium, fat free chicken broth 2.5 cups water 2 cups clean marinara sauce 2 bay leaves Fresh cracked black pepper 6 oz broken whole wheat lasagna noodles For topping: 6 Tbsps part skim shredded mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup part skim ricotta cheese 3 Tbsp grated Parmesan 2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley 1/4 cup fresh basil chiffonade (I don’t even know what that last thing is 😆 and I didn’t even make the topping and it was still super delicious😉) • -Cook sausage with a little oil over medium heat, until browned about 4-5 minutes. -Add chopped onion and crushed garlic and cook another 2-3 minutes. -Add parsley, broth, water, marinara sauce, bay leaves and black pepper. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes. -Add broken pasta and cook according to package. -Combine the topping ingredients and add it for a treat on the top, if you desire 😊. • *I used less broth/more water, probably did jarred/minced garlic🤷🏽‍♀️, didn’t have bay leaves and left off the topping and it was still delicious! I hope there are no chefs following along as I probably break all the rules 😬😆🤷🏽‍♀️. We have it alone, over spaghetti squash or zoodles, dip Ezekiel bread @foodforlifebaking in it. ★ DIY maison ★ Hello les MYLs 😘 Petite astuce pour commencer (ou continuer) à vivre sainement pour la planète et pour vous : la lessive naturelle faite maison. . 🍃 Après mise en commun de nos différents tests, voici nos suggestions. . 🌺 Pour une lessive naturelle rapide et super simple, utilisez juste du savon et de l'eau : 💧 25g de copeaux de savon de Marseille pour 1L d'eau bien chaude. 💧 Laissez fondre les copeaux dans l'eau chaude pendant 1 a 2 heures en remuant bien. 💧 Si vous êtes pressé, mettez l'eau et le savon dans une casserole à feu doux et mélangez bien 👍 . 🌺 Si vous êtes plus aguerris, on vous suggère de passer au level supérieur (pour le bien de votre machine à laver et pour mieux nettoyer votre linge). La recette : 💧 Dissoudre 100g de bicarbonate dans 50cl d'eau. 💧 Ajoutez doucement 50g d'acide citrique (ça va mousser donc faites bien attention) et attendez que la réaction chimique soit finie pour continuer la recette. 💧 Ajoutez 50g de savon liquide de Marseille dilué dans 50cl d'eau.💧 Mélangez bien et c'est prêt 👍 Le bicarbonate lave, conserve les couleurs et dégraisse. L'acide citrique détartre votre machine à laver. . 🌺 Autre conseil : faites de l'adoucissant homemade. C'est tout simple : 💧 Prenez 2 cuillères à soupe de bicarbonate et ajoutez 300ml de vinaigre blanc (anti calcaire et conserve les couleurs). Attention versez tout doucement car il va y avoir une réaction effervescente. 💧 Attendez bien que la réaction soit finit puis ajoutez 700ml d'eau. 💧 L'intérêt de cet assouplissant va être également d'ajouter votre "parfum".
