I’ve been a whirlwind of emotions lately....⠀ ⠀ I pulled into my drive-way after picking up my little from her dad, started bawling.⠀ ⠀ My sweet baby girl gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Of course...unintentionally, making it like 1000 times worse. ⠀ ⠀ All that kept running through my mind was. .⠀ I just want to eat without a worry.⠀ I just want to get in a solid workout. ⠀ I just want to feel normal.⠀ I just want to not feel pain. ⠀ ⠀ Things I used took for granted. ⠀⠀ ⠀ My doctor told me:⠀ It was only a matter of “if”⠀ It was a matter of “when”⠀ ⠀ My grandmother was continuously sick most of her life, living off medication after medication...until God eventually brought her home. ⠀ ⠀ Next to being a single full time working mom, this has been one of the hardest seasons yet. ⠀ ⠀ God has a plan for this. back counting macros today - sort of. Am counting protein only as feel like I haven’t gotten enough lately. I had no meat out of the freezer, so I picked up some gluten free fish fillets at the supermarket, cooked them in the freezer then put them with salads I had in the fridge. ✨Breaking the fast ✨ . . . The past 5 days have taught me a lot about myself. I challenged myself by setting an incredibly difficult goal, and I was able to reach it. The challenge was not easy by any means and completing it was so rewarding. My body feels strong, my mind feels sharp, and my spirits are high! When I was able to eat my first meal, it reminded me how truly blessed I am and how God DOES provide us with everything we will ever need. Our lives these days can be so busy and chaotic, and sometimes we need to take a time out, slow down, and quiet the mind. 🌟Apple Cider Vinegar is my best friend 💕 I apply this almost every night and sometimes when I wake up depending on what i’m doing that day 🙏🏻 This dries up my pimples and makes them go away quickly - if I have a white head , i apply the Cider and it dries it up by the next morning , or makes it much easier to pop and clean up 👌🏻 Thats how I do things ‼️ I touch my face too much though. Thats why it takes it forever to heal and clear. But I take MORE pride in HOW I work. ⠀ ⠀ Over my time in university, I really transitioned from a 24/7 worker to a smart worker. I started to use my time wiser and rest more. 🙏🏼⠀ ⠀ The result? I got MORE work done in less time. ⠀ ⠀ I find our society so funny. We work and work and work. Take pride in burning ourselves out. And then can't get anything done.🤔⠀ ⠀ There are SO many ways to work smarter to get more work done. Some will work for certain people and not for others. It's about finding what works for YOU! Here are my top tips:⠀ ⠀ 1. Delegate! ⠀ ⠀ Look, we all would love to have 3 clones of ourselves (my boyfriend says otherwise!) But since we can't, delegate the non-essential work that you can. If it means hiring a person to do your yard work or taking on a volunteer to do some research for you, find help. Accept help. It's just smart. ⠀ ⠀ 2. Take breaks 🙃⠀ ⠀ Sometimes we get so drained from our work that we are WASTING time sitting and trying to work on it. Go work a walk. Do a workout. Eat lunch somewhere. Watch a TV show. Just do something else to let your brain rest from that task.⠀ ⠀ 3. Prioritize 🗒⠀ ⠀ What tasks are ESSENTIAL? These are ones that have strict deadlines and must be finished. Do these first. Do you really need to answer your e-mails right now? Go to another volunteer event? Figure out what needs to be done and the rest can wait.⠀ ⠀ 4. Listen to yourself 💚⠀ ⠀ Some days I have a hard time getting certain tasks done. On those days, I go through my non-essential list and get that work done. I'm still working hard, but I'm using my time wisely. Time and time again, I come back and tackle that original task in half the time!⠀ ⠀ The point is, we all have to work hard. But you can work hard without driving yourself into the ground.⠀ ⠀ So, with that, I'm going to do what's right for MY work! I'm taking the next few days off to enjoy some rest in my favourite place in the world. 😍⠀ ⠀ I'll see you on Friday! Where's your favourite place??

HAPPY MONDAY! 🌶 Had a lower key chest + tri’s workout this AM due to some less than stellar sleep last night 😴 kept it low weight, high rep, steady state elliptical for cardio instead of my usual incline walk, but still felt good to get it done and dusted to kick off what’s definitely gonna be a big week. In years’ past I would have just chalked it up to a rest day, but I’ve definitely toughened up mentally to meet those excuses and fight back on em. .. It’s important to know the difference between pushing yourself and actually hitting your limit.
