When I was little, my mom used to play this song for me by Janeen Brady called See Me Run. It was my fave! . I loved this song.โค๏ธ It starts out with the lyrics โ€œrunning and skipping and jumping and whirling, I like to feel my body move.โ€ And then the song would start and instruct the listener to run around the room, to skip up and down, and to spin around in circles until you stop and drop. . Bodies were meant to move. In fact, they feel better when we move them daily. . Weโ€™ve been conditioned to think that for grown-ups this means hitting the gym or training for a marathon or some other form of long intense working out. If it doesnโ€™t hurt, it doesnโ€™t count. No pain, no gain-right? . Wrong! Moving your body should be JOYFUL. It should be fun. It should be something you WANT to do because you ENJOY it, not because you think it will help you shape shift your body. . And good news๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป: ANY kind of movement, small or big, counts! . So go ahead. Skip and jump and run around in circles until you stop and drop. I wonโ€™t judge๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyone else have a Mama Bear ๐Ÿป problem? ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿป . I used to think I had to โ€œfixโ€ everything for my kids. If they were sad, mama would fix it. If someone messes with you, they better WATCH OUT!๐Ÿ˜ก . I am by no means an expert, but as Iโ€™ve matured as a mother, and as my children have grown older, Iโ€™m learning that there is nothing to fix. All their experiences, good and bad, are for their own good. Theyโ€™re building their character, their wisdom, and their life. . Sometimes the Mama Bear in me still sneaks out, but not nearly as often. Iโ€™m slowly learning that my job is to manage MY thoughts and MY emotions, and to be there to support, love, and sometimes coach my kids through. . Doing this doesnโ€™t come easily or naturally (old habits die hard). I have to remind myself first of all that this is not mine to take on. Then I remind myself that I have a choice. I can choose to see this circumstance as either good or bad. It can either be a problem or an opportunity for learning and growth. Itโ€™s my choice. . Does the Mama or Daddy Bear ever come out in you and what do you do when it does?

My go to #fuel after a great 7am workout. Avocado toast ๐Ÿ˜‹ multigrain bread with avocado, sunny side๐ŸŒž up eggs just the way I like them, 93/7 Turkey bacon, and a bit of low fat cheese.
