This is my first attempt at filming myself cutting out an artwork. (Swipe across to see the whole video.) I had to speed it up a lot and it’s still relatively long, so I’m not sure about it, but please tell me what you think. Also I would love for you to give me any suggestions/tips for videoing and editing, as I’m pretty new to this.
The artwork in the video is an image of a diprotodon that I cut out for my brother. I’ll be posting photos of it over the next couple of days.
I wanted the artwork to be relatively accurate, so I used an image by Laurie Beirne from the Australian Geographic website. I altered it slightly to make it easier to cut out, but, apart from that, it’s pretty much the same image. I usually design my own art, but it’s really hard when it’s an extinct animal and I want it to be accurate. I’m not selling this artwork, so I hope Laurie Beirne doesn’t mind.
