Posing is one of the most important things you need to do if your goal is to build muscle mass. Posing isn’t just about looking in the mirror, admiring yourself and stroking your ego. When you pose, you’re stretching the fascia which holds your muscles together like an elastic band. Your muscles can grow bigger only when the fascia stretches and your muscle fibers get a chance to expand and swell. The pump and burn you feel after a brutal set is the lactic acid in your muscles, expanding and pushing them against the fascia. A typical 10-rep set takes around a minute at max to complete which isn't enough time to stretch the fascia and give your muscles room to grow. Instead of chatting up, use the time between sets to pose and stretch your working muscles. Hold the poses for as long as you can. Every second counts when you're posing between sets. - ADOPT A LIFESTYLE - Adrian said he had never seen his abs. He'd been training consistently (4-5x per week) for a while but just hadn't grasped fundamental principals of nutrition. He decided to work with me and we made a few tweaks to his training and diet. He kept in touch with me regularly and kept at it for months. He was very consistent in the way he ate (at a relatively small deficit) and made sure to keep up with training, focusing on lifting heavy-ish weights. Nothing fancy. It took a few months, but now he's able to maintain a certain level of leanness because he has adopted a different mindset. Like, i aint playing this year. Been consistent with drinking my green tea everyday, taking my vitamins, drinking lots of water, cutting out sugar + carbs and working out! I’m finally starting to feel great again 💃🏻. I still have a ways away in reaching my goals but I have more energy, feel more optimistic and I’m sleeping better. Exercise and a healthy diet really make the biggest difference 😩🙌🏼. Also, Americans really don’t have much of a excuse if you can get a decent gym membership for only $10 a month! 😵.
