Grundtvig’s Church (Grundtvigskirken) is an impressive monument located in Copenhagen.
This church is often referred to as a gothic cathedral. It was constructed by main architect, P.V. Jensen-Klint and his son, Kaare Klint, who completed the project after his father passed away.
The grandchild of P.V. Jensen-Klint, architect Esben Klint, drew the ornamentation of the church, including the organ facade as well as chandeliers and choir stand.
Apart from architecture the Klint family had a keen interest in lighting and hand-folded lamp shades.
Architect and master of engineering, P.V. Jensen-Klint folded the very first LE KLINT lamp shade to fit a paraffin lamp he also designed. His son, the famous architect and professor, Kaare Klint, who in addition to having drawn up well-known designs for LE KLINT, was also of great importance to the history of Danish furniture and design. His son, Esben Klint, also did an important work for LE KLINT.
