Wer sich mit chronischen Krankheiten befasst, kommt an verschiedenen Ernährungsformen nicht vorbei. Gleich am Anfang meiner Recherche wurde ich auf das Thema "Autoimmunprotokoll" aufmerksam. Diese Ernährungsweise richtet sich darauf aus, durch das Weglassend diverser Lebensmittel den Darm zu heilen. Und darum geht es auch in dem Buch "Das Autoimmun Paleo-Kochbuch: Das erfolgreiche Protokoll bei Allergien, Hashimoto, Zöliakie und weiteren chronischen Krankheiten" von Mickey Trescott, erschienen im @narayana_verlag . Die Autorin erzählt anfangs, welche Erfahrungen sie selbst mit dieser Art der Ernährung gemacht hat. Danach wird kurz erklärt, was es genau mit dem Autoimmunprotokoll auf sich hat und welche Lebensmittel man verzehren darf und auf welche es zu verzichten gilt. Anfangs wird so einiges vom Speiseplan gestrichen, später dürfen Lebensmittel wie Hülsenfrüchte , Nachtschattengewächse und viele weitere nach und nach wieder eingeführt werden. Es folgen Tipps und Tricks sowie eine praktische Einkaufsliste. Dann geht es los mit einer großen Auswahl an Rezepten. Neueinsteiger finden hier eine wirklich große Auswahl an einfachen Rezepten, die sich oft auch miteinander kombinieren lassen. Cayenne - In numerous studies, the active compound in cayenne, capsaicin, has been shown to reduce appetite. Remember that time I disappeared for like a month? 🤦🏽‍♀️ SO many things have happened it’s been a roller coaster for sure. I got laid off from my job (along with 246 other people in 1 day) and went through the waves of emotions with that. I visited Cuba! We celebrated my husband’s 35th bday there and it was a blast. Left pic... July 2017 (6 months into my SW journey) 2.5 stone lost, wearing size 22 clothes. Middle pic... January 2018 (1 year into my SW journey) 4.5 stone lost, wearing size 18 clothes. Right pic... May 2019. 7.5 stone lost and been at TARGET for 9 weeks! Wearing size 12 clothes and for the first time ever feeling happy with what I see in the mirror. Some people lost weight faster than I did. Some lose it more slowly. But it's your body, it will ditch the weight at it's own pace. I know it's hard but don't compare your journey to others. On sale for $3 a box. ⁣ ⁣ 🥦 They also have my favourite @birdseye_au steam fresh bags half price for $1.75 for a pack of 3 bags so we stocked up on those.⁣ ⁣ 🥭 And lastly, this isn’t a special but @aldiaustralia usually have 1kg bags of frozen mango for just $5.99. We love the stuff. So handy and affordable. Great to have with Greek yoghurt or chuck in smoothies.

All - thank you for your condolences. This picture was taken the last day that Valentino was feeling slightly better. The picture that follows was taken a few hours after he crossed the rainbow bridge. I feel that God gave me the glimpse of the rainbow to help my heart that day. Some of you have sadly experienced the pain of losing your best friend, roommate, and unconditionally loving fur baby. Valentino was so special. Obviously he was special to me, but I enjoyed how he made strangers smile every day. He would get comments like - he looks like a dr. Seuss character, or Kurt Cobain, or a muppet, rockstar, surfer, hippie😂 kids would say ‘mommie- how come that doggie has clothes on?’ Babies would come toddling over to pet his ears and he would let them. I miss my baby but am so grateful that I got to share 11 years with him and share him with the world. I miss kissing his little muzzle and dressing him up. And begging him to sit next to me on the couch. And watching him shake his favorite zebra. And listening to him drink water or bully me into feeding him immediately the second I came home. 🧡 I will miss walking in the park with him every weekend and our monthly brunch or coffee outings. I’ll miss women saying that they wish they had his hair. I’ll miss him being happy to see me everyday no matter what - and him snuggling under the blanket on the cold days. And watching him play with his brother every Christmas. Will reflect fondly on memories of my little pumpkin

New high fiber low carb obsession over here with artichokes, my friends! I have been eating this on repeat for the last 2-3 days! 🙈 The first time I made this it was so good I immediately licked the bowl clean and made a second batch all for myself! 😆 This would be a great side dish, or to add to a mix of other veggies, but honestly, I devoured it like a bowl of pasta—so so SO good! 🤤 - Best part? This recipe takes less than 10-15 minutes to make! 🙌 - TO MAKE: Pan fry some artichoke hearts in EVOO until they are slightly browned/crisped (try not to stir too much, you want them to brown/crisp a little on each side for that added taste + texture!). Remove from heat. Add 2 pinches of garlic salt and the juice from 1/2 lemon. Transfer to a bowl and add a few cracks of black pepper, as well as some dried minced onion. Done! So good. So simple. So delicious + nutritious! I received many messages about your baby takinga break from eggs or not liking them at all. It was my goal to serve them in a different, hoping it would be enough for him to try them out. It worked! Baby Friendly Egg Veggie Pancake @kidfriendly.meals 1 teaspoon oil or butter 3 egg 3 tablespoon milk of choice (can use breastmilk) 1/4 cup of vegetable(s) of choice: in here, I used spinach, grated raw carrots, cooked broccoli 3 tablespoon flour of choice (I personally like to use spelt) 3 teaspoon ground flaxseeds 1 teaspoon herbs/spices of choice (e.g. cinnamon, curry powder, cumin, oregano, turmeric) Instructions Beat egg and milk together in a bowl until blended. Add rest of the ingredients and combine. Heat butter/oil in a 6-inch nonstick pan over medium-low heat, tilting the pan to coat bottom. Pour in the mixture (don’t stir), spread evenly, and let the batter cook for a minute or so until the bottom starts to set. Flip and cook the other side until lightly browned. Remove from pan. Once cooled, slice into desired shapes.

Whole30 day 3 meal 3. Tonight I made @pennysprimal sesame chicken! So good! I will be making this again, for sure. The recipe is pretty easy to follow as far as fried chicken things go. Made the house a little smoky 🤷‍♀️

Kale quesadilla - easy moorish snack I discovered yesterday post hike when I was on a mission to munch ! I spread some baba ganoush onto a kale leaf added a slice of cheese and and some jalapeños topped with another kale leaf. Lightly fried in some lard on either side till the cheese melts and kale softens up. Cut with knife and fork and squeeze some lemon on top !💥

Happy Friday! Hope everyone has fun Memorial Day weekend plans! Mine is going to include SLEEEEP. I know, I’m so exciting. But ya girls been seriously lacking on her beauty sleep.. I totally tell a difference in my day to day function when I’m not getting quality rest. So priority #1!
