Another Tuesday another transformation 💪🏼💪🏼 The photo on the left popped up on my Facebook memories on this exact day in 2012. I don’t even think my son was a year old, so I obviously had some chub to me still 😂 My point is that just because you have had a child or gained weight doesn’t mean that you can’t get into shape and look even better than you did before. Before I had my son I was skinny as a stick and didnt have much muscle definition to me. I played soccer and volleyball but never lifted weights like I do now. There was a bad where I finally just got tired of how I looked and how I felt physically so I changed my lifestyle. I changed how I ate and I changed how I worked out. If I can do it so can you! She shouldn’t have been here… she shouldn’t have spent a day traveling and then another 3 days on a retreat with the leaders on her team away from her baby. She shouldda been home, savoring up the LAST week of her maternity leave with her baby. Soaking up every last snuggle, every last morning wake, every feeding and play time and nap time before she had to say goodbye to her son, go back to work and go from experiencing those every day of the week to only 2. But she doesn’t have to worry about that. She doesn’t have to say goodbye in one week, one month, one year, not EVER. If she chooses. All because 4 years ago, before the word “baby” was even part of the conversation, she made a decision to start being her own boss. To design the future she knew she wanted and knew she (and her family and future family) deserved. If you were to ask her HOW? She’d tell you that she isn’t special. Today I had to say see you later 👋🏼 to my husband for the next 6 months. Real talk, the love you have for someone is 1000% reaffirmed when you are faced with saying goodbye to them. Nothing could ever prepare me to do that. . I’ve been up in my head A LOT for the past week thinking about that moment and how my life would look like without him for so long and here’s the thing.... . Just like every situation that you will stumble upon in life, mindset is imperative to how it will play out. . It’s EASY to play the victim card and feel bad for yourself when something sad happens or something doesn’t go your way. It’s EASY to fall into a negative mindset. It’s EASIER to be sad and depressed about your unfortunate situation. . It’s MUCH harder to decide to take the opposite path. It’s HARD to see it from a different perspective. Its hard to pick yourself up by your boot straps and carry on despite your circumstances. To choose to stay focusing on the positive rather than the negative. . Although I will never quite be the same without my best friend by my side, I choose to take this time to focus entirely on myself, my well being, and my personal growth rather than being down in the dumps about it. While he is working hard, I will be too. . Remember, (almost) everything in life is a choice, especially your attitude. The next time you are faced with an unfortunate situation or are struggling, I hope you find the strength in yourself to choose to take the more difficult path and pick your self up and move forward on the path of more resistance, with conviction & positivity. Decided to max out my deadlifts, squats and bench press this past weekend💪🏼 . See below for my numbers👇🏼 hopefully I’ll be able to see some improvements soon! . ✧Deadlift: 125 lbs ✧Squat: 135 lbs ✧Bench Press: 95 lbs . ‼️Remember: everyone has a different “starting” point (I’ve been lifting for consistently for ~1 year and definitely couldn’t lift anywhere near this in the beginning), so don’t compare yourself to my numbers. I’m just posting this for my own reference when I max again in the future! 😊

I started out like many people do, wanting to lose weight. That wasn’t my only reason though...I also wanted to be an example for my kids to live a healthy lifestyle. I follow flexible dieting because I find it to be the most sustainable. I have done low carb and clean eating and it always led to binge eating. I always say flexible dieting for the win...and I recommend it for most people, however I believe everyone should follow what is best for their lifestyle and what they can be consistent with in the long term.
