Excuse my insane face but Iโ€™m finally coming out the other side of a flare that lasted over a week and feel like I could run forever! (And by forever, of course, I mean no longer than one hour. ๐Ÿ™ƒ) . I managed one good gym session last week before I spent the next couple of days curled up in a ball in bed. Iโ€™ve read so many things that say you should try gentle exercise when you have a flare up but sometimes thatโ€™s just not what want at all. I can finally sit upright๐Ÿ™ƒ (kinda).. Iโ€™ve been pretty immobile for a couple of days due to a herniated disc with sciatica. Luckily Iโ€™m able to walk and move around today ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ . . However, Iโ€™m super bummed since I was supposed to head out to see @kyleconnery @luckellie for some hiking and skiing in Oregon! On a positive note, theyโ€™re both Physical Therapists and have been super helpful over FaceTime ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ Weโ€™ll reschedule my visit when I can sit comfortably on a plane for 5 hours๐Ÿ˜ฌ . . Training: Quick 2k lunchtime walk & Weights - Back session @onetoone_gym 6 x pyramid sets Vertical Row x 15 reps 6 x sets Reverse Fly hitting rear delts x 15 reps 6 x sets Lat Pull Down x 15 reps 6 x sets Seated Row x 10 reps 6 x sets Tricep Dips x 15 reps Had a great day of tasty food today despite it being a bit thrown together using up leftovers. I debated oats for breakfast but knowing I didnโ€™t have much cardio scheduled in today I chose my trusty Chia Seed breakfast with @good4unutrition coconut superseeds, pineapple & honey. I couldnโ€™t wait to try the new Hazelnut @chiacharge flapjack so had it as my mid morning snack & it was heaven!! Definitely rivals my favourite peanut butter & cocoa flavour. Lunch today was quickly cobbled together this morning from what I had in my fridge - left over slow cooked chicken in @passagefoods Tamarind, Lime & Chilli sauce, mashed avocado on toasted @bionaorganic Rye Bread. OMG totally amazing! ๐Ÿ‘Œ Tea was again using up leftovers, this time slow cooked Thai Green Chicken Curry. I decided to fry up some frozen Thai Inspired Base Mix with steam fresh Veg & mixed this with the chicken & served with @merchantgourmet superseeds. Sometimes the best meals are those just randomly thrown together. I took a bit of a backward step with my outlook today, started doubting myself & feeling generally ๐Ÿ’ฉ about myself & my abilities in relation to training & body image. Iโ€™ve still got this lingering cold & have also had wisdom tooth pain today which hasnโ€™t helped my mindset. Gym was busy & I couldnโ€™t get on all the equipment I intended so felt a bit like a failure. I havenโ€™t felt like this in a good couple of weeks & know itโ€™s just because Iโ€™m tired, feeling poorly & just because everyday canโ€™t be 100%. Going to have the rest of my mams home made cake now, a cup of tea watch the @brits & know that tomorrow will be a better day! at Pontypridd

my quads always blow up on a bulk I have ~2 weeks left on my bulk this year, I begin my cut in March by dropping down to 3,000 cals and incorporating cardio in the mornings. Do you struggle to do press ups? โ€ข Maybe you can't do one yet or maybe you can only do 3 or 4 before you have to stop. โ€ข Either way, the Barbell Press Up will help you out. โ€ข Not only is it a great way to practice press ups before getting to the floor, it's also a great way to build volume if you can only do a few on the floor. โ€ข Let me explain, doing sets on the floor when 3 to 5 reps is super hard for you is not the best way to get stronger at press ups in my opinion. โ€ข It's like you keep pushing your body to it's limit. A better way would be to take some load off and perform sets of 8-10 reps, getting the muscles you need to use stronger. โ€ข So, set a bar on either a power rack or a smith machine to where feels challenging and aim for 3-4 sets of 8-10. Post shoulder-day pump. My current goals are to build as much muscle as I can while simultaneously shredding a bit of fat for the upcoming warm months๐Ÿ‘™๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿงœ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธโ˜€๏ธ I posted clips on my story of a few of the exercises I did. I didnโ€™t include my supersets after each shoulder set, which were some jumping lunges, burpees, and jump squats.
