A cool spring day calls for some time outdoors with my kiddos. We love being outdoors🌼 And I love this time of year. . The recently launched Ice Boyfriend sweater and the turquoise Grid bra are and ideal color for moving into spring. It has just the right warmth and softness to it. Paired with jean shorts this morning and some cute jeans this evening. Oh, and of course flip flops because I wear those 360 days a year. 😂 Anyone else a flip flop girl? . Today was rough. I was tired all day and had absolutely no motivation. Thought about just skipping the gym and relaxing but a little voice in my head kept telling me I would regret it. So this is my victory smile after pushing through cardio and still managing to complete my ab workout. Some days you just gotta be your own cheerleader and do the damn thing.

Wow what a day! Up and at it 3:30 am with Week 7 Legs- LIIFT 50/50! Good workout and thankful I made it through! Off to work, followed by getting to work late due to having to drop off my kids to before school care since our other car kind of hit a deer this morning! After work it was time to pick up the kids, take them home and get stuff ready for the babysitter to fix them for dinner. Yup I said babysitter, this girl had to go back to work to hold three hours of parent/teacher conferences! Eventually made it home for the even where I had lunches for tomorrow to pack and dinner for myself to eat! Thankful for the day! The #fitnessgods were with me today 🙏😁 I was feeling like crap early in the day, it was raining, I had a headache and I was utterly unmotivated😪 BUT...I realized that, as they say: Doesn't matter how crappy you feel- you always feel GREAT after a #workout 💪💥🤸‍♀️ So...I checked outside -the clouds had parted and there was a smidge of sun so I went for it 🏃‍♀️ Went 'round The Lake for the whole 3+ miles and never got rained on... then-- right when I got back home--it started to sprinkle 🌦🤣 Needless to say- I felt better!💁‍♀️ So then I did an Arm workout too 💪😜💯 Hope everybody smashed their goals today- even if you didn't want to. Just archiving some 'old' pictures as I was putting the finishing touches to my new Fatherhood Biz Course web page (shameless plug: do take a look, link in the comments) (!) and I found this one of my littlest man from 6 years ago! Wow, he was the fastest growing baby I have ever seen. He still likes to be picked up like this all these years later… It just takes a heck more strength now to do so than it did then 💪 💪 💪 Anyway, I was telling him about how we had to take pictures with a camera 📷 back in the old days, and that you had to put a roll of film in the camera, and then and then get that developed before you could see the pictures. He looked perplexed and said ‘where did you put the film in the computer then. I can get my pictures really fast!”, and then proceeded to show me his graphics and photo folders, “it doesn’t take long at all!” OK, I felt outdated, but I had to laugh 😉 Such is progress…anyone else here remember pen and paper 🖋️ ?

It was a BUSY WEEK but we can feel the weekend right around the corner! . This week I started launching a NUTRITION ONLY program where I’ll be walking my clients through a course of 30+ videos and other materials designed to educate them on how to break sugar addictions, why it’s important to eat from ALL the food groups, and how to know exactly how much their individual bodies need to eat every day to be well nourished! . Nutrition has always been the hardest for me. I used to have the BIGGEST sweet tooth of anyone I knew! I love food and I love to eat often so it’s easy for me to overeat if I’m not mindful. This caught up with me as I settled into my early adulthood years and college... then with adding kids to the mix, it left me feeling “blah” with very little energy and low confidence. . It wasn’t until 3 years ago when I discovered an easy portion control system that everything started to make sense to me. I learned which foods contained the most nutrients and which ones I needed to cut back on because they really weren’t serving me! I learned that I could still enjoy family favorites, but that my body felt better when they were more of a treat than an everyday occurrence! For instance this “ice cream” ⬆️ is really just made with frozen bananas, strawberries and a little vanilla 🍓🍌 in my food processor (shhhh don’t tell them 🤫😉). We still sometimes enjoy Culvers 🍨 or Dairy Queen🍦TRUST ME. . This simple system has been HUGELY expanded since it launched 5 years ago, and I’m so excited that the brand new version just launched this past Monday! Hence why this week was so busy but in a great way! 😅 . This is not a quick fix or a fad diet. It’s a sustainable way of eating that you can incorporate and teach your whole family. I’m looking for 5 women who are willing to go through a TEST GROUP with me where I’ll help you reach your goals one day at a time and teach you habits that will serve you the rest of your life! .
