*continued from last post*
after surgery, i lost all my motivation to do anything due to an insane amount of muscle loss. finally, i got some motivation from the way i looked and decided to do something about it. i picked up CrossFit again, and regained a lot of strength and muscle. on occasion i would workout with friends in the gym on campus at Mercer. that’s what sparked my interest in doing my “own thing”. with CrossFit, the workout is already programmed, so all you have to do is go in, do the workout, die a lil, and go home. but as most people know, at a “normal” gym as i call it, you have to go in with a plan. that was the biggest struggle ever for me. i had no idea how to use the equipment, what exercises to do, how many reps to do, and what weight or resistance to use. in the beginning i felt discouraged, but eventually learned how to do things and what benefit i would gain from doing them. after figuring my shit out, i made this page to help keep track of my workouts. then, it turned into something i honestly didn’t think i would, which is a good thing!! i’m in school to become a physical therapist because i want to help people get better, and that’s another reason i created this page: i want to HELP people get better, live healthier lifestyles, and do things they didn’t think they could do.
i’m extremely passionate about what i’m doing, and want to reach and help as many people as possible. so, there’s a little bit about me. sorry it was so long, but i figured i’d share my “testimony” 😇
