✖️Big back Day✖️ . Lifting heavy Lately, and wanted to get uncomfortable by doing more than I usually do. . Pretty pumped about getting this weight! . Really focuses on those wings here💪. . Sometimes working heavy is what you need to add more Mass. Form was subpar here, not so much control but that's how it is when lifting heavy. . Exercise Plate loaded 1 arm Row. “There’s a million ways to skin a cat”⁣ ⁣ We hear this saying all the time and it’s 100% right. ⁣ ⁣ The thing that I ask myself is how many of those million ways are the hard way? Will you have to sacrifice speed for time? What damage will occur along the way if I choose this way over that way?⁣ ⁣ I’m going to use climbing a rope as an example. Climbing a rope is hard and while there are many ways to get to the top they require upper body or lower body strength. ⁣ ⁣ If I simply go hand over hand I can potential exhaust all of my upper body strength, in the process creating blisters on my hands.... but I got to the top and it was quick. ⁣ ⁣ Now if I use a foot lock technique (often used by defence forces and cross fitters) I can use a lot less upper body strength, protecting my hands and all I need to do is use more lower body strength. I still get to the top of the rope but I have to sacrifice some speed for time, however I haven’t destroyed my hands. ⁣ ⁣ If we relate this to nutrition you can see that if it is much the same. The Easter long Weekend is great to gather with family and friends and enjoy spending time together. It is also a time where we tend to indulge in some sweets and treats and the odd alcoholic beverage⁣ ⁣ The following is 3 things to adjust so you can enjoy some laughs, good food, a couple sweets and a wobbly pop…or two ⁣ ⁣ 1: Nutrition modification ⁣ You won't loose the progress you’ve made, that would be crazy! Its taken months to get your results you have, your not going to loose over a weekend but indulging too much can lead to a mental breakdown and have feeling like your back to square 1 ⁣ ⁣ So here is what we do ⁣ ⁣ 80/20 rule in full effect! ⁣ ⁣ I use the 80/20 rule throughout the year but i really ensure I'm on point during the long weekends especially leading up too the summer months ! ⁣ 80% of your daily intake should still be nutrient rich foods, consuming your good protein sources, carbs and fats⁣ 20% is off the charts enjoying some sweets and treats ⁣ ⁣ 2: Adjusting Calories During The Day ⁣ ⁣ The next thing I will focus on is adjusting my calories during the day so I have more to play with later that night. Most of the time its going to be dinner with family and friends so I will consume less calories during the day to give me a bigger window for my night time activities ⁣ ⁣ By doing this I'm not consuming as many calories during the day through my first 4 meals so now I have any wheres from 400-600 calories more (depending on your meals) to use for my nighttime meals and drinks ⁣ ⁣ **Note: Don’t fly by the seat your pants! Take 10-15 minutes to input all your meals into MyFitnessPal (or whatever you use to track) ⁣ ⁣ 3: No Alcohol After 12 AM!⁣ ⁣ This is a biggie. If you are still up and enjoying your night when the Easter Bunny comes hopping by, make sure that you stop with the wobbly pops and start into the WATER. Not only will you feel 100% better the next day, this will start to hydrate you as the alcohol will dehydrate you! ⁣ ⁣ Implement these 3 BIG factors into your holiday festivities and feel good and enjoy your Easter Weekend! ⁣ -⁣ -⁣ -⁣ #takecareofyou #takecareofyourbody #takecareofyourhealth #fitnesstips #fitnesslove #selfcaretips #Mind
