The left side is me currently at 21.5%ish body fat, the other picture on right is me at around 18%ish. I have gotten bigger my fat abs are completely gone, the veins arent as prominent and I'm a bit chunkier now but it's crazy to see the difference from the pictures being just a few months apart. @pheasyque ⭕️BREATHING WHEN BENCH PRESSING⭕️ Bench Press Breathing & proper setup. ⁣ ⁣ This is CRUCIAL when you bench, since it can literally make or break your technique (together with a few more important steps such as leg drive, arching, bar path & arm angle). ⁣ ⁣ As we unrack the bar, set up our shoulders & the rest of the body for the lift, it's very important to take a deep breath in before the descent in order to create tension in our upper body to keep our chest high against the load of the barbell coming down. ⁣ Diaphragmatic breathing or chest breathing? Personally, I do a mix of both: ⁣ You don't want air only 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘵 since you still want to stabilize your lower back, but you also don't want to have air 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘺 because your shoulder/upper back set up can collapse depending on the load you're using.⁣ ⁣ You only exhale once the rep is completed (Just like you should be doing when squatting and deadlifting) at full elbow extension. ⁣ ⁣ This tip, together with the leg drive should create a super strong 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄 set up to push big weights from: which should be your goal regardless of the style of training you do. It works your chest, shoulders, and triceps most and it’s the most effective exercise to gain upper-body strength and muscle mass because it’s the upper-body exercise you’ll lift the most weight on. This alone can be a cause of elbow & wrist injuries related to bench pressing, which simply make the exercise impossible to perform due to the discomfort. Getting used to the new gym not having as much of the equipment/ space as we are used to. We’ve said it a million times but this hip circle is NO JOKE. It’ll increase the intensity of your workout 😅 ⁣ ⁣ 1️⃣100 hip thrust with hip circle ⁣ We would do a set of 10 weighted (40lbs) ⁣ And then we did a set of 10 without weight ⁣ ⁣ 2️⃣ B stance hip thrusts 4x 10⁣ ⁣ 3️⃣ side steps with hip circle 3x 20⁣ ⁣ 4️⃣ Single leg hamstring thrust 2x 10 each leg⁣ ⁣ 5️⃣ Cable floor side kick 3x 10 each leg ⁣ ⁣ Everyone’s weight is different, we just put ours in here as a reference but no shame in doing less and more power to you if you can do more. We normally do whatever is going to push us to our limits and have us just 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐘 finishing our sets ⁣
