I used to be the person that would take a pic working out or do a story walking into the gym and write what felt like the obligatory “never miss a Monday.” . Yeah...sorry about that. 🤦🏼‍♀️ . I know that my schedule is very conducive to fitting in workouts and I have some pretty convenient equipment at home but that may not be the case for a lot of people. If you need the extra sleep, you have an exhausting day at work, your body feels like it needs a rest, your kids have pushed you to the breaking point, and/or you just flat out aren’t feeling it and you, gasp, miss a Monday - it’s all good. . Obviously, I’m a huge proponent of being active but don’t beat yourself up over one day. It will *not* ruin the rest of your week. 👌🏼

Life is better upside down!! MONDAY SETS THE TONE FOR THE WEEK... be determined to RISE! Not just in the gym and your nutrition, but life! RISE above anything that pulls you down! Put a 🛑 STOP to people or things that are going to steer you in the wrong direction! If peeps are standing and being negative... flip upside down and SMILE and be different.. be POSITIVE! It’s more challenging to be HAPPY than it is to be down. If you catch yourself jumping on the bandwagon of disgrace, talking about people in a not so pretty way (gossiping), judging, talking poorly about yourself, snapping at the kiddos.... immediately stop yourself and think to yourself “turn it around”. What helps me is to think about 3 things that I am completely grateful for in life.. in that moment! Let that JOY drive you to be happy and feel GOOD! It’s Monday! Did you wake up feeling bloated today from Easter treats? If so, DON’T WORRY! I have some tips for you. . No matter what you ate yesterday No matter what you did or did not do yesterday.... TODAY IS A NEW DAY But if you're like me and you ate all of the Easter candy yesterday, you might be feeling a little bloated today! So I want to share with you how I personally manage bloat the day after indulging: 1. Drink tons and tons of water! At least half your body weight in ounces of water! And then add some more 👍🏼 . 2. Get a good workout session in - we don't workout to punish ourselves for over-indulging EVER, but getting a workout in can also help move digestion along and help release any extra water weight you might be holding onto! . 3. RELAX! Just know after a heavy, high-sodium meal, some bloating for a day is normal. It will go away!! There's no need to freak out about it or think that it's fat gain - it's just a normal process your body goes through while digesting a meal like that! Do not beat yourself up over it, obsess, or panic! Just get back on track and know that your body will feel normal soon! Hope these help you today! They say your biggest struggles lead to your greatest strengths. . My celebrity personal trainer reminded me of that in my family room this morning in the early hours before everyone else was awake in my house. Not much of being pregnant or labor and delivery was in any way easy for me, just as I'm sure it wasn't for most of you. It's taken a bit of time to discover who this new woman is afterwards and what she wants to be. Yes, even at 35, being a new mom, we CAN decide we want to be something MORE than what we've been. It's never too late to start the next chapter. . Like many of you, creating our children is often one of our biggest struggles, albeit our most amazing blessings, but I'll be damned if I didn't say it has helped me find my greatest strengths! I am focused, driven and motivated to be the BEST version of myself now more than EVER. I push myself in my workouts, my healthy habits, in my business and in my mindset to do BETTER every day than I did the day before. I have have bad days and then I remember my WHY. This sweet face. I would never tell her to give up, so I'm going to lead by example. . Happy Easter to all! Missing Dava today and the life she brings to any party. Thankfully she will be home soon. Started the day with a great service at Calvin. Followed by prep for our family dinner. There was a little hiccup in between that taught me a pretty big lesson. But dinner was amazing! Happy M O N D A Y!!! Hope everyone had a good Easter! Mine was pretty low key with being on call for work with patient visits, getting things in line before leaving, packing and a dinner last night. Speaking of packing...did I pack too much hahaha I always get that excited/nervous feeling before leaving on vacation and really don't feel any better until we get to our destination....anyone else like this? First rule of cutting - you always cut away from your body!!!! First thing I wanna as told freshman year of height school in shop. After being in this field for 15+ years you get comfortable enough n the things you do EVERY day! I sliced my wrist/forearm area. The cut is only about 1/2inch but it cut through everything. Raise your hand if you have ever found yourself in a place where you were so overwhelmed that you were just LOST ✋I am here to tell you there is a way forward.⠀ ⠀ That was me 4 1/2 years ago when I took my first step on my journey to living a healthier more sustainable lifestyle...it all started with one program that helped me get back on track with my nutrition and workouts after having 3 babies in 3 years. The nutrition was simple and the workouts were only 30 minutes which was just about all I could handle with 3 very small children and a full time job. The program changed my life....and today I am starting a new version of it! It’s amazing to see how much I have grown from the place I was to where I am today. It’s a lifelong journey but I am in a much better place today.⠀ ⠀ I am so excited to do a new version of these workouts and the nutrition plan with a much better understanding of how and why they work. The initial program started me on a journey that led me to many more programs that advanced my fitness, a community that has changed my life, and helped me navigate some of the hardest years of my life. Eine junge Mama zu sein bedeutet:⠀ ⠀ 1️⃣. Oft ist es eine Umstellung von jetzt auf gleich, des gesamten Lebens. Klar, ist das auch bei Älteren so, aber in jungen Jahren, sieht das Leben meist noch anders aus: häufige Partys, kaum Verantwortung und viel Unterstützung der eigenen Eltern.⠀ ⠀ 2️⃣. Meist hat man noch keinen Beruf mit Anfang 20, oder jünger. Das bedeutet, man geht in Elternzeit und ist auf finanzielle Unterstützung vom Staat, von den Eltern oder vom Partner angewiesen. Nach der Elternzeit, macht man dann sein Abitur mit Kind, oder sein Studium oder seine Ausbildung mit Kind weiter. Also lernt man abends, wenn die Kleinen im Bett sind, und man mit dem Haushalt fertig ist.⠀ ⠀ 3️⃣. Die Mütter aus den Kindergarten und den Schulen sind häufig viel älter. Es ist oft nicht ganz so leicht Kontakte zu schließen mit anderen Eltern, da die Interessen ganz anders sind und viele leider doch ziemlich Vorurteil behaftet sind. (So sind meine Erfahrungen) ⠀ ⠀ 4️⃣. Man kann keine längeren Auslandsaufenthalte, wie gleichaltrige machen, z.B. Work and Travel, oder als Au-pair ⠀ ⠀ 5️⃣. Man begleitet seine Kinder viel länger im Leben und hat viel länger etwas von den Kleinen. ⠀ ⠀ 6️⃣. Man kann später, wenn die Kinder groß sind, sich noch selbstverwirklichen. ☺️⠀ ⠀ Natürlich ist nicht alles negativ, es ist super schön, eine junge Mama zu sein. ⠀ Ich will damit nicht sagen, dass alles schlecht ist, sondern nur mal die Hürden auflisten und die positiven Seiten. ⠀ ⠀ Was denkt ihr? EASTER MONDAY MOVEMENT 💜 | Hope you’re all having a wonderful Easter weekend with your families! If you can find 5 minutes for yourself, here’s a lovely little routine to help you gently activate the deep abdominals of your core and stretch out any aches and pains in your back and pelvis. Also, if you’ve overindulged a little this weekend (haven’t we all! 🍫🐰) it’s a great routine to help aid digestion and gut health. Start with some slow, deep, belly breathing - breathe in through your nose, allowing the belly and ribcage to fully expand (all the way into your back) and then breathe out through your mouth, drawing your bump/belly up towards your spine, feeling the ribcage close together (imagine a corset tightening around the ribcage). Then move into a lovely cat/cow stretch, flexing and extending the spine as much or as little as feels good for your back and continuing to use the deep belly breathing with your movement. Finally, place your feet together and knees nice and wide and sit back into a child’s pose stretch, pulling yourself gently forward and then sitting back into the child’s pose, breathing in as you rock forward and out as you sit back. Focus throughout this routine should be on full, deep belly breathing to help increase the oxygen in your blood which in turn will help aid digestion. Full, deep breathing can also help re-balance the stress hormone cortisol (which negatively affects our digestion). May your smile always be this big and your heart always this open 💜 ⁣ I know how hard your practiced.⁣ I know how excited you were.⁣ I know how much you wanted to shine and show your love for Jesus. ⁣ I know you get anxious.⁣ I know you worry. ⁣ I know you are figuring out who you are and how to share that with others.⁣ So i got your back.⁣ When i went on stage all 3 services i worshiped & i prayed. I prayed for an anointing over that stage. So when you stepped on it after me all fear and all anxiety would be broken from you - so that you could smile THAT big. So you can dance and be silly the way you are around those who are close to you. If you only knew I have that same fear and that same anxiety, but I step on stage and worship because it’s what I’ve been called to do, and so i can be the example you need me to be. ⁣ And though those prayers weren’t manifested today, i know God is working in and through you. Your smile and your laughter are a blessing to anyone around you! ⁣ ⁣ I will always be in the front row clapping and cheering you on, even when you cry.
