Today was the end of Week 2 of @marillewellyn gym guide - my body has never been so sore but it hurts soooo guuuuud. 😖😝 This doesn't look the most appetizing but when you have no groceries you get creative AF! Full disclosure my nutrition has been at about 75% but working out for 20 minutes a day for 6 days a week has shown me how to overcome different challenges. . For a split second I almost hit snooze on my 4am alarm ⏰ and would have skipped my miracle morning.⁣ ⁣ Then I asked myself would I rather:⁣ ❌Get an extra hour of sleep and feel rushed all day? 🤔⁣ ✅Bite the bullet and get my butt out of bed and get my stuff done first, so I can be fully present and intentional with the rest of my day?⁣ ⁣ ▫️ I have messages to read and respond to⁣ ▫️Emails that need to be answered⁣ ▫️Clients and coaches that need my attention⁣ ⁣ When people are busy (including the old me), the first thing they put on the back burner is themselves… their health and wellness.⁣ ⁣ Well, the new me isn’t having any of that. When I wake up in the morning I do me FIRST so that I can fill my cup up and have more to pour from into others the remainder of the day. 📍SAVE THIS POST FOR A FUN WAY TO EAT SWEET POTATOES 🍠! . 💕I loooove sweet potatoes! But sometimes I want a way to eat them other than baked, diced, mashed, spiralized or turned into french fries! . ⏩These sweet potato wedges are fun to eat, easy to toss with a sauce and look so nice in your meal prep containers! . 👩‍🍳HERE’S HOW TO MAKE THEM⤵️. . 🔥Heat oven to 400 degrees. Using an apple slicer, turn three cleaned and peeled sweet potatoes into wedges. Slice the leftover center cores in half. Add wedges + sliced cores to a large rimmed baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil +salt +pepper+ smoked paprika. Toss well. I bought these jeans a few months before starting my wellness journey. I was lost and didn’t know where to start. But I was tired of disappointing myself by not going to a gym that I was paying for and I was tired of not knowing what to eat to get me RESULTS. . . I told myself, enough is enough. I needed to make a change. And I was pleasantly surprised at how SIMPLE this lifestyle is. . . I show up for my 20-30 min workout each day and have confidence that if I push hard, I will see results! 💪🏼 . . Trying #fitkini for the very first time!!! I have been going on and on with the #28dayjumpstart (which is great btw) even though I had the other books I kept just with the 28 day jumpstart. I have a feeling that fear led the decision making progress, what if I fail? I better do the 28 day jumpstart until it's perfect, until I have the perfect 28 days and then I will move on. The perfect 28 days of course never came, even though I have been following @fitgirlsguide on and off for a couple of years now. The perfect days don't exist in the way I thought they would, they exist in acceptance and celebrating progress. They exist in the brave moment when I decide "tomorrow, I will try again."
