Soooooo I have discovered something new that I absolutely loveeeeee!❤ The Kinesis!!! I’m not sure if your guys gym has one of these but this guy right here has become a staple in my routine!!💯 . Here are two simple workouts that I performed: . 🔹️Chest Flys 🔹️Kinesis Rear Delt Flys . I just love how smooth the Kinesis is, and it was nice change up in my routine! If you don’t have one of these you can perform these exercises on a traditional cable machine! . ALSO, I HAD NO IDEA MY BACK LOOKED THAT GOOD! Needs to get a little wider, but we getting there!💪 . Constantly finding new and challenging ways to strengthen the core .. Here with a resistance band and sliders. Start from a plank and do a pike, back to a plank, and then a knee tuck. Focus on engaging your core (especially your lower abs) to pull your legs into these 2 positions; instead of using momentum or pulling from your hips .. MODIFICATION: If your are just starting out and the pike is too difficult, just do the knee tuck. Remember, the further away you pull the resistance band, the more difficult .. Are you SABOTAGING your own success?! 😵😵 ⠀ Success can be SCARY. Have a deep think about that! Achieving your goals, especially if they are lofty, will most likely mean a change in your circumstances. ⠀ The human condition is resistant to change - it is subconsciously programmed to keep you just the way you are. Self-sabotage rears its ugly head especially when new opportunities arise, and someone suggests I take up the offer or go the extra mile to make something new happen or go out on a limb to try something different. ⠀ Initially I am resistant - not so much because the task will be extremely taxing, but because subconsciously I don’t know if I’m ready to feel the success that might come with it. ⠀ Strange huh? ⠀ You might be able to think of a few examples from your own life!! ⠀ It could be: ❗️Getting to a certain level and then wanting to restart* because you feel something isn’t 100% perfect ❗️Spending all your time planning and never on action ❗️Spending too much effort on ‘personal development’ and learning about business/area of interest and not implementing! ⠀ Don’t let yourself brush it off as perfectionism, it may well be self-sabotage! ⠀ Raise your hand (virtually) if you know that if you were given your life again up until today, you could have done more and achieved more within the same amount of time. Tell me, what are you doing to improve your quality of life?🤔 . Are you eating well? Are you working out? Are you lifting? Running? Are you doing yoga? Are you meditating? Are you performing acts of kindness towards yourself? Are you taking a much needed break from social media? Spending a little time each day by yourself? . I cannot tell you how much SMALL changes have such a HUGE impact on your life!💯 . An example would be when one of my coworkers asked me where to begin when it comes to losing weight. . What did I tell her? I asked her, “what are you eating/drinking?” . She listed a few things, typical fast foods, sugary drinks, process foods and what not.🍔🍟🥤 . I then told her "well how about we try cutting soda out first, and come back to me in a week or so, and we’ll go from there.” . A little over a week, she came back to me and said “oh my god, Tracey! I’ve lost 5lbs pounds on my waist! It was that damn soda! I cannot believe how much it was affecting me! And I noticed I can eat more! It’s made me want to eat healthy now, girl! I want to start going to gym now too!” . See, all she did was one SMALL thing. She removed soda from her everyday life and you see how much of an IMPACT that had on her! She wanted to make MORE changes, because that SMALL change influenced her enough to want to make her life of a higher value!🙌 . And that my friends is beautiful. You do not need to start big! Really take a look at what you’re struggling with, make a list if you need too! And circle the ones that you feel you can do right now, this very second. Begin with that and just see where that takes you! I need to remember to always have a towel for those long cardio sessions 😂 I worked up quite a sweat from my 11 miles on the bike 🚴🏼‍♂️ Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to keep up with the person next to me. He even gave me a head start and still finished his 11 miles before I did 👏🏼 It just goes to show that everyone operates at different levels. However, we can always use the higher bar as motivation to continue pushing ourselves.
